Right.

If I think of a person being blatantly hypocritical on a regular basis, I think of someone with low intelligence and/or some kind of mental disorder.

Thing is, I'm really not that judgmental...some behaviors bother me when I have to look at them and perhaps I'm guilty of some variation of that, on some level, however one may twist it...but I am generally pretty accepting of people. So that's my "out." I can't be much of a hypocrite when I don't condemn or judge much.

Ha! I can identify with that.
But perhaps less of an "out" than it is a very basic understanding of how complex people are, and how differently we define concepts like "lying", "cheating", or whatever it might be?

Meh.

Edit::
My moon is Sagittarius and my ascendant is Gemini the opposite sign so maybe because they are opposites that has something to do with it ?

For the record this isn't hypocrisy to me. It's mutability.

Yeah I'm finding it difficult to hammer anything down.

Especially lately. Saturn/Neptune square or something.

I should just stop talking, but it's more fun to do the wordplay-then-erase routine.

Night!

Very odd (and I can imagine which university, lol).

She's a Capricorn with a Pisces Moon, Venus in Aquarius, Mars in Sadge. I don't know if she somehow forgot - the way I forgot that I once wanted to have a home with a bunch of foster children and animals, when I was nineteen. I remembered that last year, and don't know what I was thinking. Just that I loved kids and animals, and wanted to help them, I guess.

As much as I've vented about her, because of what she did to me, I love and miss the person my sister used to be.

I don't think you need to stop talking. I saw a post on another forum about a woman who would talk about all of the good things she did as a Christian, apparently - and then be a total [insulting name] to the people around her. I responded that I like to think that the person is still doing some good - like the soup that was mentioned, that she made for people at a shelter. She may not be good with people most days, but her heart can still be in the right place when it comes to feeding them.

I have conflicting desires from all the squares in my chart. Along with a Pisces moon square Neptune. I don't consider myself as cohesively representing one ideology or one set of principles, I just kinda make stuff up as I go along and hope it flies.

Definitely could be hypocritical because of that impulsiveness, not looking before I leap.

I personally believe that everyone is hypocritical, in their own ways. Because until your perspective is broadened, you may not realize that you've been a hypocrite.

Well this one is easy, Pisces moon of course (and most Pisces placements tbh). All a Pisces influenced person has to do is FEEL like something is true and *kazaam* that is now reality. They can eat meat today and speak out against it the next day and have chicken for dinner right after. No problem. They can also deny each and every one of those things with their last breath when it's all over. Its scary as hell but I'm beginning to think they believe whatever they feel/imagine so much so that they honestly don't feel they are lying when doing such things. Gemini Sun is the other hypocrite but unlike Pisces types they are fully aware of it and are super clever / intelligent about it.

It is imperative that when attributing certain traits to a sign we are specific about the sign along with planet placement. For example, Mercury in Gemini is nothing like Gemini sun as far as hypocrisy. Neither is Gemini mars, who is all too ready to argue their intellectually perfect point than randomly switch to an opposing stance. Placement matters.

Amazingly spot on for literally all the signs. Wow!

So yes - from my POV... the negativity that comes with hypocrisy falls under Pisces/Neptune 100%...
I honestly can't imagine any other sign being hypocritical to that extent.

For me definetely Gemini Suns.
Libras are very diplomatic, they end up being hypocritical from time to time.

How can you criticize Pisces moons this way?
It's like kicking a kitten.

Oh. That's kinda true for me.

Not sure if I've been this bad.

My best friend has a Pisces sun conjunct Mercury and she has perplexed me a few times. For instance she complained about her ex almost non-stop for years, and when they broke up said to me, very earnestly, "You know I always LOVED him, right?"

Someday I'll ask her to join this forum and then she can just answer that herself.

Because no, I don't really get it.

But I'm positive I've done my share of bewildering people. And I'm positive that there are people who manage to understand my basic impulses, I make sense to them somehow, so it's copacetic.

@teasel,

Thanks, and I like how you look at things. I admire your strength of purpose, you have a knack for seeing the good in people.

I meant that I should stop talking just because I start tunneling into the meaning of each word and end up confused. Also my transits are so freaky at the moment. Uranus square my sun, especially.

I think I just phrased it badly.

Could also be my efforts to remain centered in the present moment, reacting from a place of calm. I think people usually consult their belief systems or prejudices, to see where other people are impressive or failing to measure up. I find myself doing less and less of that as my progressed sun approaches Pisces.

But it's hard to explain.

Im not talking about you specifically though.

The Virgos i HAVE encountered epitomize that whole, holier than thou, scold everyone for everything archetype even though they do the same things and even worse things.

Hmm that might apply to me. You probably remember I have Echo conjunct Jupiter.

Lately I tend to think of the ego self and the higher self. My ego self has its pot holes: I can feel like it's not enough that I alone believe something.

But the higher self is self-referencing, insofar as I can monitor what's going on in my body, control it, and strive to keep it all balanced.

Both the ego self and higher self are in fact totally interconnected with other people. Which isn't a bad thing.

No asteroid stands for pure evil or deficiency, I look at all the space stuff as raw materials that can be directed upwards through the power of intention.

What is the positive side of Echo?

It would be helpful to cover that, when you bring this asteroid to people's attention.

To be honest, I don't know which sun sign/placement is the most because I've seen almost every signs has done it in different occasions.

Less likely would be somebody who is mature spiritually, mature in thoughts, mature in actions, they don't need to be hypocritical to be liked, to be accepted, afraid of judgement, or etc..

Echo is not a hypocrite. She struggles to have a solid sense of self, through no fault of her own.

It is just the chart make up.

You have the most annoying hypocrite when you have Lucifer in addition to Echo.

This person argues all the time about nothing and will take any position just to one up people

Lucifer is one of those asteroids I can pick up like the smell of essential oils

If Echo is HUMBLE, she is OK. If she has Lucifer, prominently, as well, which is arrogance, she is a super annoying pain in the derriere. She is what I said above.

Not saying where my Lucifer is hiding.
