I don't mind the occasional experimentation Certainly don't talk about it openly because that would take the fun out of it. It also depends on the SO. Scorpio is in my 7th and I also have Venus Neptune and Saturn there.Experimentation of any sort brings me to the root of my deepest self. It can bring those those eurika momemts concerning your psychological patterns and habits. Transformation can occur unexpectedly or in the most liberating ways. One thing I've recently come to realize about this placement is that you have to be ok with knowing that not all your close intimate bonds with last. Change will always occur but better people and things come into your life each time. It's like a constant life graduation and your degree looks more bada** every few years. IP: Logged |

I've got this placement.It's difficult to differentiate the aspects Uranus makes in my chart and it's house placement, but generally in the 8th house, it tends to make someone change a lot in their lifetime, through a series of rapid transformations. There may be a lot of ups and downs early in life which causes the individual to have a blasé attitude towards subjects others would consider taboo. There can be a very dark, cynical and unexpected sense of humor. There's a very strong attraction to the occult and psychology, and there can be sudden 'flashes' of intuition where everything clicks together regarding relationships, intimacy, healing practices, and anything else ruled over the 8th house. More than anything, it seems like Uranus in the 8th house has a strong belief that they are in charge of their own destiny. They believe very much in free will. Life can throw them many unexpected challenges as karma to get them to understand that there are certain things that are out of your control. And yes, it can also mean a sudden death- but I would look more towards the aspects. I have this placement in an exact conjunction with the moon. Early in life I nearly drowned, and I've gotten into many 'near-death' accidents, but I have Jupiter in the 8th which has acted as a means of protection for me. IP: Logged |

That's a good analysis. So, Uranus does what it does best - send a bolt of Uranian lightning, right into the house of death, taboo and transformation. lundan, have you had any sudden upheavals/accidents or anything of the sort..? Or is it offset by other placements in your 8th? IP: Logged |
