In my chart Uranus is not conjunct IC but in the 4th house. Saturn is conjunct IC from the 3rd. I can relate to some of the things others posted.

My background is multicultural, after my first years I started living with my grandparents mostly. I was lucky for such because my mother was abusive and my father was distant, and my brother grew up messed up because of such.
We moved to another country and when I started living with them it was hard because of my mother. She got better with her depression later and family relationships got better but there is still dysfunctional dynamics.

Uranus is trine my Moon/Mercury/Venus and while I’m independent I still have my own family now and am happy.

My youngest son has Uranus exactly on his IC. I've always said that I don't see his older brother leaving home until at least his 20's but my youngest...as soon as he can drive I fully expect him to fly away to wherever his mind/heart leads him. He is very independent even at 6 years old and has the will of a buddah. His whole chart is fascinating to me, of course both of my kid's charts are but in completely different ways. I can see how they're both a reflection of my own chart but from polar opposites of the different parts of me. It's funny because in the composite of me/my youngest we have sagittarius moon exactly on the Midheaven and my oldest we have Aries sun exactly on the Midheaven. My oldest has Pluto on his IC and both of these aspects to the IC have played out just how they're described so far.

My husband has sun conjunct my IC.

It also conjuncts my S. Node and I have asteroid Wild and Angel conjunct my IC exactly.
