What about Venus conjunct Asc? I'm the ascendant again (in cancer btw)
In synastry it could be that the Asc person is viewed by the Venus person as "beautiful" or very likeable.
And so since Venus sees them as such, the Asc person will align/ strive to be the things that Venus likes- even though other people that the Asc person knows, may not see the same thing.
So to the Venus individual this person will be seen as nice, accommodating, interesting, attractive etc.
And when the Venus person keeps in alignment with that first powerful thought, the Asc person starts to exemplify to the Venus person those exact things.
I know this from my own experience.
The Gemini I used to date had their Venus conjunct my Asc. And he found me so attractive!
So what I started to do was look after my appearance when around them i.e work out more,change my wardrobe,speak more eloquently, be polite etc.
All these traits did not happen overnight. But I noticed that I was trying to "exemplify" this attractiveness when around them and no-one else.
When personal planets aspect the Asc, it comes more naturally. You feel like doing that is a part of your personality especially when Sun/Moon is interacting there.
But when no planets aspect the Asc, it feels like "effort": Like you are being "fake" and it feels exhausting to you etc. Because you are convinced that the person is putting you on a "pedestal".
Similarly, I have Mars conjunct another friends Asc in Libra. And I found him to be prickly and combative.
Now when we were around each other,it's almost like we either got on very well. Or not at all(Like right now. We are not on speaking terms
)
He could easily get me mad or make me feel energized. And I didn't get why that was-since Libra Asc is supposed to be the sign of peace and harmony.
