I also feel Taurus is the natural ruler of earth, I think Taurus is built to enjoy all the earthly pleasures but are at risk of engaging in excesses and enjoying earthly pleasures too much

Taurus teaches us to slow down and smell the fresh air, the smell of the forest and of the grass or the rain, the smell of the trees, it reminds us to feel the sun in your skin and take all the beauty around you in. When I think of a juicy meat and barbecuing outside on a nice day to enjoy the weather and the process of cooking a nice piece of meat and how it smells while you cook it and how it feels to put all the ingredients/spices together on the meat while you are having fun with family and friends I think of Taurus. This quote reminds me of Taurus:

Taurus teaches you how to truly enjoy food and to go get a massage, go camping, go hiking, go dining. Taurus loves the idea of having a farm and of growing its own food or producing its own food, it enjoys cooking and experimenting with spices. Taurus is obsessed with the natural resources of the earth and like the idea of mining and getting rich some how utilizing the earth. Taurus does care about the earth too, my partner when we hike tends to pick up trash other people leave behind and he is a Taurus riser, he also loves any type of alternative energy and knows of a bunch of ways to produce energy, he can talk to you about rocks all day....

He is a mix of Taurus with Virgo so everything I am saying is probably influenced by that. He has Sun, Mercury and Pluto in the 6th and Jupiter in Virgo plus Taurus rising Plus sun conjunct Saturn and Moon in the 2nd house! so lots of earth influence. Yet according to the Pullen's declination report Water is his strongest element, then air and then earth with fire last. IDK if that report takes into account house placements.

Also, my wonderful grandmother is a Taurus lady. She will be turning 90 next year! Totally matriarchal but in a very calm, subdued, and, again, sweet way. She is really the picture of patience and balance. I don't think I've ever seen her get angry or flustered except once when I was a little kid. She also has that staying power quality. I've always been amazed at how steadily she has kept pushing through her old age.

I feel like I deeply understand Taurus people as a Taurus IC. Behind closed doors, I am very much like a Bull and people who I consider family would very much call me reasonable, level-headed, steady, stubborn, and self-indulgent. So, I usually feel very at home with Taureans. There's no one I can have a lazy, all-day Netflix binge with quite like them.
