I agree. Let's get back to Astrology. I am going to make a suggestion for what I think is the easiest way out of the situation: please take down the OP since it is construed around false astrological data and premises. Which makes it an undermining of astrology in many ways. If you feel any regret or compassion for the distress it has caused, by itself and by the way you have handled this, write a small "sorry" instead. I also think a pause from LL is necessary, for a reconsideration of what astrology is supposed to be. We all need one, from time to time. I am considering opening a discussion about the issue of ethical astrology, when time will allow me, personally I feel it might be needed.

What I see is a split between people who see Lindaland as just 'for entertainment purposes' *flips hair* ...

and

Those who see the ACTUAL Potential and Beauty of Astrology as a valid Science AND an Art.

Astrology lessons (professional astrology, that is) are VERY VERY VERY expensive. I've looked into it.

Lindaland gives an opportunity for people who cannot afford their own private mentors or the EXPENSE of astrology classes and private readings to come here, learn about astrology, and PRACTICE with each other.

Another thing I want to point out, is money.

LeeLoo.... I deeply appreciate that YOU have purchased a Banner. You help keep LL going because YOU make a financial contribution. I'm sure that counts for a lot.

There are semi-pros here??? who SELL their readings, and they do not purchase an LL banner. ....

Ami Anne has been purchasing banners, and financially (with IQ) supported this website with her funds. .... I appreciate that too. I'm sure that helps Randall a lot?

Is Lindaland going to be a respected and "credible" site in the long-range future as a place for learning REAL-astrology basics? Or will we continue making 'Stone-soup entertainment-astrology' where you can just make up whatever **** you want to say???

I'm very proud to have seen people testing advanced notions, "using" REAL-astrology, and playing and finding actual 'new' things that MAY work. -- So many of you are incredibly bright thinkers!!! Faith!, you are Brilliant.

The other thing we do besides Astrology is the experiment in having Social relationships here.

Some of us have "been there" for others....
We have supported each other here through some very bad Darkness and terrible things, as well as having shared our Joys.

1. The issue of beginner level astrology Vs. advanced astrology - well, that has began to be addressed with the Astrology for Beginners forum. Perhaps we could finish this move with an "Advanced Astrology" forum?

In this advanced forum, there could be a rule of referencing, i.e., if one is going to assert the proof of an aspect using examples of say famous couples, then a link should be provided to the source of the data?

This rule could actually apply to all forums, however, perhaps we want to go a little easier on the beginners forums, to allow for brain-storming and suggestion. As long as this is clearly labelled as such and not asserted as truth.

2. If this can't happen at the forum level - either a rule of referencing or a new forum, then we are left with personal responsibility where individuals must use their integrity and references assertions of this sort.

If individuals do not conduct themselves with integrity, then Randall simply must take action.

So: A forum for Advanced Astrology with a rule of referencing assertions, OR, this rule to be rolled out across all forums and must be enforced by Randall or moderators.

I guess it depends on the people you want to attract here.

If you want to attract those with much experience and deep knowledge of astrology who kindly guide those with less knowledge and experience, then you must create an environment that supports *both* of them.
Those who take astrology seriously will always clash with those who prefer cookbook-style.

Style clashes aside. Any issues with personal integrity MUST be addressed by the webmaster.

I feel this elephant has gotten too big to ignore now. I noticed some members have given up their moderator statuses, and while I don't profess to know why, I wonder if this is a sign that they can no longer condone or remain impartial.

I do hope you are not going to apply double standards when Ami (as often) verbally abuses someone, mocks someone, laughs at someone, is passive-aggressive at someone, points a finger at someone (in the most passive-aggressive or bigot way), etc. - and she used to do this with others as well.

I am repeating myself but this is not about her articles and her opinions, it is about accuracy in the name of serious astrogoloy (also not about mixing up things or making mistakes since everybody does that) and in the name of the responsiblity of an astrologer who genuinely takes care of his clients.

One said that, others said "ah, yes right, that should be corrected" and Ami started to flash the place all over with false accusations of her alleged bullying.

Of course, some were not very nice but that had happened due to her previous behaviour. What comes around, comes around. You can't expect to treat someone like sh*t and he kisses your butt in return.
In my eyes this has been happening- nothing else.

But of course, anybody can judge as one likes

There are official legitimate databases of astro data for astrologers. A simple Google search leads you to them (an example is astro.com most of us use here). Any astrological research starts with consulting those. Adam Sandler's TOB is unknown.

Again you're missing the point here. Everyone is agree that people can have their own view on astrology. HOWEVER, when an astrologer claimed 'this person should be an A Ascendant because the chart never lies' like their words are final, this seriously calls for concern. I can understand that you want to champion the weak or the underdog, but you're fighting for the right cause at the wrong place because this is not the case. What Leeloo and Faith and most others want to question is Ami's integrity as an astrologer, this is not the mass bullying cause that you can't seem to abandon.

Soren say he is fire or air.I think he actually had a result later.I don't know.

A lot of people do this here Tulipe.About many things not only ASC and I personally hate when people try to shove their true on my throat but I just avoid them.They are just fooling themselves or maybe they are right who knows.
I feel no stress over it anymore.
