Capricorn IC, Uranus, Neptune and Mars conjunctions. Very poor family. When my dad's cancer got worse my mom worked for minimum wage at a grocery store and that was our only income. When they divorced we were even poorer, I remember going without food because we didn't have any money and no one from church had given us food. ------------------ "Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace." -Dalai Lama IP: Logged |

Virgo IC conjunct ChironWe were average. I was a lucky child, but we were conscious of saving money. My mum is in healthcare. Both my parents hate their jobs and were/are stressed by it. We mostly went on holidays though because my parents are v.good with money IP: Logged |

Sagittarius IC here. I grew up in a not-so-well-off family. I mean, we were never short on food and we always had a roof over our heads, but we were far from rich. I was always conscious of our financial position and felt uncomfortable about it. I guess this might be a reason why I'm very good with money and know how to handle it responsibly, because I always valued it when I would get any. IP: Logged |

Thanks, Bonsai! May I ask just out of curiosity what your childhood was like? Were there any Sagittarius themes surrounding your family life?

Well, what would you consider a Sagittarius theme in this instance? Higher education? Optimism? Travelling abroad? Just trying to understand so I can answer the question better. IP: Logged |

I posted about my Cap IC earlier, but I was wondering if any other IC conjunct Uranus's were homeless for a period or had a lot of erratic changes in their childhood? Also wondering if any other IC conjunct Mars's had any violence in their childhood? I know it's a difficult thing to talk about, but I would appreciate any information because personal experiences (besides my own) are always better to me than studying book interpretations. Just wanted to say that my childhood did have Cap traits, my family faced many challenges, depression, and yet we kept pushing to get through. At about 8 when my sister left for college, I took care of myself and was very mature for my age. Mom was the breadwinner, and my dad took a more nurturing role. I was close with my mom when I was younger, but our relationship became strained. I took on a lot of responsibilities as a child, and took care of my dad. ------------------ "Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace." -Dalai Lama IP: Logged |

My parents were very big on me having a good education and completing higher education, for sure. I ended up finishing Engineering (how I got through that with my short attention span I'll never know). My parents were eternally negative, I couldn't say there was much optimism in my home. But I actually left my home country when I was a baby and grew up on the other side of the world. Also, my Uranus basically sits right on top of my IC (an orb of a mere 0 degrees 11 minutes) and, while I was never homeless, my home was quite stressful growing up due to family problems. I experienced quite a lot of anxiety, which resulted in developing OCD in my teen years (which I managed to combat last year through neurotherapy. Thanks Saturn return!). IP: Logged |

Bananaz, I'm sorry about your brother's passing. Thank you for sharing, I won't quote. Moving does seem to be a theme with Uranus conjunct IC. It makes sense, IC=home, Uranus=changes. I've had 9 moves so far, but I'm planning on lots more in life with my fiance's career and my education/career. ------------------ "Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace." -Dalai LamaIP: Logged |

Thanks for sharing bonsai. good to know you were able to overcome your struggles Thank you Mergoatsun. I've been moving most of my life, but I think it's because I have Uranus transiting my first house. Now that it's about to go into Taurus, I think I may finally stay in one place. IP: Logged |

Hello! Libra IC here! Had war in my country so little part of my family moved in Canada, our life was wealthy back there, before war. Moving here made our life a lot difficult but managed thru it somehow! IP: Logged |

Sagittarius IC conjunct Anteres exact with Uranus in 4th. My parents had us quite early, and struggled till about 8, before they started climbing the ladder. By 10, both were doing better financially, and my dad made six figures. I was spoiled by everyone, and coddled a lot, but I also worked for it too so I continued to live pretty well off. I'd say looking back, by junior year, we were considered upper middle class. IP: Logged |
