I want to mention that Elysia was sooo kind when she asked. (Didn't want to 'put her off' at all.) I've seen LL'ers post audio sound-clouds, yt's, etc. I was truly honored.

I don't like performing in front of others, unless I'm part of a small group, or duet... Or, I have a scripted part as a cast-member in a play.

I love to try to choose good URL's from yt, though.

You didn't sweety, not at all!
I'm a Pisces Asc, I hyperventilate if I'm forced to even meet people when I'm not ready. I get where you're coming from..

I just meant if you have a recording or something that you'd like to share, it'd be nice! That's all.. No pressure.
Maybe I sounded insistent (mercury)? I can come off a little too forceful in speech sometimes. Didn't mean to put you on the spot..

Music can have so many emotional connotations for us. For a lot of us, it's strictly a private affair.. Just for us, or just for loved ones.. Usually, I don't even listen to it (my songs) on speaker with my friends, coz I don't want to "inflict" my tastes on them.

For some folks, and maybe this is you (even for me in some cases) - it's about the shared experience of enjoying that music with your family & loved ones. It doesn't have to be splashed online if you're not comfortable. Even anonymously, it can feel like you're putting so much of yourself out there. Because music comes from a much deeper place. It can feel like being too *exposed* to put yours out there.

Sorry I forgot to reply to your comment there - but it doesn't mean I am put off or upset at all.

ZOMG, I actually had this one in mind too. Glad I'm not the only one who was thinking it.

OMG!!!! lmao....
Are you allergic, or just winded?

Going back to the music...
I had a friend who played the harp. We went to an echo-y church to do some improvisational music once, as the homework-part of a workshop, Challenging people to overcome a fear they had.

My friend knew I was shy about performing, and she was too. She tape-recorded (cassette) our two sessions. I was horrified that she had done that--- even MORE horrified that they publically played our tape during the wrap-up party with at least 100 people in attendance.

I was on pins and needles the whole time... that had been a 'private' sharing ONLY between the two of us.

People were milling around the party.
Some people approached me, who were professionally trained, and told me (seriously) I had a talent.
*extreme shocky shrink-shrink-shrink*
(It had been a fantasy-experience to have sung in a church like that, with harp accompaniment-- one of the more-satisfying moments of my lifetime.)

If there were a way to clean up those tapes, I would almost accept the dare to share.

My favorite song was a rendition of 'What Child Is This' (Greensleeves), voice and harp, in an echoey church.

{{{{big hug to you Elysia!}}}}

That's such a lovely memory!
Thanks for sharing.. ^_^
It's like ..you were meant to be performing there, and somehow a way to make that happen & let your talent see the spotlight fell into place.

I'm gonna go listen to that Greensleeves song now and imagine it playing in an echoey church.

(((HUG)))

Honestly I talk to you the way I talk to myself. I expect a lot from the both of us, and probably neglect sensitivity- yours and mine. And I probably don't give myself enough hugs either...

I don't like that I hurt you. I'm very sorry.

My BML and Faith's Venus <3
How could anyone not love this song

Although my Lilith isn't that keen on romance and stuff, being opposed by Mars and all that, she can appreciate a love song once in a while
