no i know from experience i already tried to help someone who i did not agree with. so i know that it is possible. maybe you guys never did. i did. but some might think i supported it when i didnt. i cared for the person. maybe it's a deep talent i have. to care about certain people. when your child does something wrong you still love and support them. you try to make them do better. it's no different here but you can act like we are adults in the big bad tough world but it's a world of ease to me. i help. ok so your son was threatening people on a forum that he wanted to stab someone. you are his mom: you completely disown him and kick him out and never love him or show support. me: son you shouldnt do that, please do not. if you continue to do that i may take away your desserts or a toy. to make him stop. if my words alone didnt work. specially when it's the internet. if you have a bit of saturn you understand he needs hacking abilities. he needs backbone. he needs to risk his entire life cause he might go to jail or you might just shoot him if he came to your house threatening. it's the internet. and most could tell it wasn't TRUE intent. most could tell he was not going to actually go to anones house. most know he likely does no possess 1 of those 3 required traits. As a member of LL for a couple years now I can't believe what I'm seeing. It's actual insanity, really. Arguing with near strangers on the internet - over what, exactly? Shame on the MODERATOR for starting another thread which was destined to spiral out of control as it inevitably has - "Let's keep it focused on astrology" - yeah, ok... No actually I felt really terrorized by his threats, and over disagreements only. I tried to make myself in the ladies' shoes, how terrorized must they feel? And there was people who encouraged and cheered him on. WTH? It is not about how we should be understanding, it's about him projecting his own issues on the internet. Do we have to be anyone's backlash over the internet? To help them? Your theory is not realistic. Condoning violence is not the definition of caring. I can understand that it makes you feel good about yourself to say you can take a higher road and love and care for unloved people. I see it as you're trying to heal yourself that way. people can treat the 'perpetraitor' however they want. it's only a matter of time before the forum rules take place that you can not be insulting constantly. encourging him is your own twist. people acted how they felt. you guys could equally be ashamed for crticiziing him back and not caring.
