I sometimes have to defend myself, because people think I'm being 'arrogant' to my parents, but my parents have issues, and project them on me.

I think people can be presumptuous and assume Radium was arrogant towards his mother, when we don't know the full story. I'm not going to say him, or his mother, was/is in the wrong, because I don't know the details, or full story. But what if it was someone besides Radium that was the arrogant one? How can people be so sure?

Also, even if Radium came off arrogant, maybe it's because he's in a load of hurt, pain, and in an extreme situation. So I believe the 'arrogant' assumption was a bit much.

People can be ageist sometimes and assume all young people (under 30) are arrogant punks, when they (the ones judging) already have their own prejudices and biases in tact before they even listen to the whole story, and details.

actually another old guy i know does the same thing, said i should take a philosophy course- and soon , he said. i was like wow, this guy is really not too smart to assume my life was so screwed and that i was lacking that i needed a college course. i told him what an idiot he is and college courses are not going to change anything, i took it as an insult.

if you ever get the opportunity to lash out at someone and tell them what you think, its lucky. most of the time they are too closed off to consider it (not talking about anyone here) just in general. usually once they actually listen to what you say, they understand and stop being so "pained"
