Thanks for coming back, Kannon - really interesting about those orbs, much wider than I was thinking, but then like you say, the effects are felt for a really long time, so it makes sense. Is it possible to prepare for these transits in advance? I have moon at Leo 2, so it's a few years off... Totally agree re the interpersonal aspects - may start something over there as contacts with interpersonal nodes especially totally fascinates me IP: Logged |

The best preparation is to handle the current transits and astrological energies well as you continue to develop and live out your potential, knowing you'll be able to handle the Pluto-Moon transit(s) when it comes.More specifically, I recommend entering that period (beginning in 2022) with no loose ends emotionally speaking; no outstanding resentments or grudges, no loose ends emotionally. Forgive now. I'm not assuming you have such issues, but all that is really important not to drag into any Pluto-Moon transit. Also, learn some type of effective energy balancing practice that produces peace and gets you more deeply in touch with your center, so when you feel that turbulence, you can regain your calm and your balance. In my view the most reliable such practices are deep, slow breathing with guided meditations possibly using sound to overpower emotive thought stresses and get you re-centered. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions Energy Healing by request IP: Logged |

During my Pluto opposite Moon, I started using drugs and the following 4-5yrs or so I ended up in the ER three times due to drug related causesThat was during high school to late teens - to this day I'm still not really sure the meaning of that transit, though the entire experience was very Plutonian in nature. Right after that transit, I had Pluto conjunct Uranus, so idk if that contributed to the mental illness that followed after my first overdose. Kannon - as far as Pluto hitting stelliums, does that have any significance? Or do you just interpret each conjunction at a time and note the fact that it will be a turbulent time period of one's life? of course it'll depend on the planets involved in the stellium but is there a general interpretation for this? *Please don't quote*

Orange, those transits relate to control and empowerment issues as they are related to his past with him possibly going through some serious reconsideration of his life direction based on whether he is getting his needs met in the way he's been living. Tough set of transits.aquagembaby, I interpret each conjunction at a time and note that it will be a challenging and turbulent period as you say. Overall, Pluto in transits over such a stellium indicates an elongated period of personal transformation. That can be very important for a person to understand so their expectations are not tilted towards conventional expectations, but measured by an understanding of powerful drives that erupt from within them that need to be tempered and balanced. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions Energy Healing by request IP: Logged |

And thanks for sharing aquagembaby. In September 1995 when I was 25, I had a terrifying moment of wondering if I had missed out on my soul mate. Pluto had transited into very close opposition to my natal Venus. I had been seeing this young woman librarian for a while when I was in the library, but I would never speak to her beyond just minimal exchanges as she checked out my books. She glowed in my sight like no one ever had and I was in awe of her even though I think she may've been several years younger than me. One day she was just gone. Next day I woke from a dream in which she and I were sitting around in a home environment not speaking to each other, so she finally got up to leave. I followed her out to her car that where another male driver was waiting to drive her away. I followed anxiously apologizing for not being more sociable. I woke with a terrible feeling that I had missed out, possibly on 'the one', you know. It sent me into about half a year of disordered eating, which was a manifestation of depression/anxiety and took many months of counseling. I say this to describe that Pluto triggers the welling up of issues that may manifest in really unhealthy behaviors that are just a symptom of underlying things that at the time are hidden from us or that we feel unequipped to address. Counseling did help. I also came across the Edgar Cayce readings on some important topics like depression and related things. I used the E.C. radial appliance for healing and got deeper balance and by early 1996 was profoundly better and no longer needed to attend 12-step meetings. I had transformative experiences meditating with the help of the radial appliance that took me into an experience of Compassion as a universal field that simultaneously penetrates self and all others. So we can have profound healing during such Pluto-characterized periods. What is difficult is that the underlying issues are either too hidden or too big to deal with directly at first. It seems better to seek a genuine experience of deep healing, deeper balance, allowing a transformation to occur. What I had was a fundamental misconception about love, which would never have been healed by thinking, writing, or talking about it. It was only the transformation of my understanding at a deep consciousness level that allowed me to move forward. I am convinced that if we focus on the surface level behavioral coping mechanisms, even if they are unhealthy, that we miss the deeper healing available to us during these Pluto transits. In fact, I am going through another tough period of Pluto transits, which challenge me to find the underlying transformation needed. So far I feel my only real failure has been not applying the energy healing to my situation that I learned in the period of Pluto squaring my natal Pluto. I am getting back to that. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions Energy Healing by request IP: Logged |

I have natal Moon at 21 degrees Libra. Transit Pluto will square my moon exact later this year and will retrograde back and forth for awhile after the first hit. I have Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Pluto in Scorpio 6th house. Pluto rules my 7th natally, opposite my ASC, Sun, and mars. Moon rules my 3rd. I don't know what to expect except probably a change in residence. I'll finally be graduating college in May and the tension in my household has almost reached its climax. My mother threatens to kick me out constantly. I can see what's coming or at least one of the possible manifestations of this Pluto transit. Might I add Transit Pluto is conjunct my Uranus/ Neptune and has been retrograding back and forty for awhile too. Uranus/ Neptune in my 9th with Uranus ruling my 10th, Neptune 11th. I have Moon square Uranus/ Neptune natally. BIG changes in every day routines? I'n trying to prepare but from what I've read and researched, you can't prepare for a Pluto transit. I'm a little nervous but I feel my own natal Pluto will carry me through. I just hope I make the best of all that comes. I hope I have the strength to let this transit transform me for the better. I'm welcoming Pluto with open arms hoping he'll take it easy on me.

The way you explained it here makes perfect sense. I've never thought about thinking back to those years during my Pluto opposite Moon transit b/c I just figured I was going through my rebel phase but now you've inspired me to think more about it. But one thing is for sure - I did go through a massive transformation - and I acknowledged that during those years, and this was before I knew astrology.

Amazing to hear everyone's stories and how long they take, sometimes years... Thanks Kannon for sharing your article, am very looking forward to the rest of it too!I was beginning to get worried, a few years ago when Pluto started to transit harder I fell into depression for no apparent reason, but the underlying theme was always uselessness somehow, questions of how I chose my studies, what I do with my life, what I work...almost (try 90%) obsessive, which actually follow me to this day. And what a day it is - Pluto is conjunct exact to my NN, 10' apart now. I always get the feeling that whatever I try to build is going to crash down on me. Can't tell if it's still remnants of the depression or the transit. In parallel - t(true)Lilith is conjunct Natal Pluto and Uranus is 3 degrees away from my AC. Something has to move. It just has to. I wrote this brief blog yesterday about Pluto: http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/2017/03/25/pluto-dealing-with-it/ JeSuisV, sometimes it can help to start changing our entire notion of power and endings (both related to Pluto and anxieties of destruction). Change them so that we see a deep, hidden, inner seed of divinity within ourselves and allow it to start sprouting. Doesn't guarantee immediate extra magic divine power, but puts us on a path in which the divine is not 'out there' somewhere and not listening. If it is within us then of course it hears/feels/knows and loves us from the inside. ------------------ In my third decade of study and practiceThe Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions

Pluto is currently making an exact square to my natal moon. This is one of the worst, if not the worst emotionally scarring periods of my life. Finally ended a traumatising romantic relationship and am beginning to address my own personal emotional issues from my upbringing now with a professional that contributed to the mess I have found myself in. Depressed, anxious, so stressed I can't sleep. I hope this whole period teaches me to have the self worth that's obviously lacking because I could not handle going through this again, I wouldn't survive it. IP: Logged |

cultstatus,Sorry you went through that, but glad you are getting clear of it. Please take time to breathe deeply and slowly while telling yourself you are worth respect and love. It is so simple it seems silly, but it really does help. I believe you can find permanent healing from this and an empowerment you did not have previously. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions

Excellent! Glad to hear it. It is a good path to stay on. Believe me, I veered off for a while and it is good to be back. Simple affirmations or prayers of gratitude for the healing/love coming our way can be quite powerful. "Thank you for ____..."------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions

There is also EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) at http://www.emofree.com/new-to-eft.html . This has recently been brought to my attention. I've known about it for years, but never did anything with it. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has benefited and how.------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

Here is more on the topic from my blog post today: I emphasize Pluto transits as the ones that set the context for the rest of the transit picture. That is because they last longer and deal in changes of identity, personal transformation, times for rejuvenation, even regrouping within yourself (rather than accomplishing outwardly). We can never understand what we are going through astrologically at any time unless we understand the issues involved in current Pluto aspects in transit or progression. > finish reading "Pluto - more on dealing with it" IP: Logged |

I am terrified. Pluto is approaching at 2 degrees entering that 1 degree frim exact zone. It will go retrograde soon which will lighten the load one last stretch and then BAM!. I just hope nothing too horrible comes out of it. IP: Logged |

Please don't be terrified. I emphasize using deep breathing often as a way to stay connected to the (Lunar) inner feeling core, which works through the diaphragm. The diaphragm is the physical separater between what is conscious and unconscious. The wave-like motion of deep belly breathing can assist the process of Pluto-Moon transits.I also emphasize the need to make more effort at maintaining balance, and of the absolute need to start learning it if you never have. By that I mean learning internal balance of energy/breath/calm. This brings back active control in the process so that we remove our focus from possible events that might happen to us. Beat such anxieties to the punch by happening to your Self through conscious deep breathing, self-acceptance, centering. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

You are welcome. Thank you for reading and giving feedback.I will generalize now on the principles involved in the potentially long-lasting effects of Neptune and Uranus transits. While I focused mostly on the hard transits by Pluto, it is not only the major aspects or stronger transits that can have long lasting effects. Neptune transits I still feel the effects of even the smooth flowing aspects upon my personal growth and look back upon some of these as landmarks of spiritual learning. Flowing transits (trines, sextiles, some conjunctions, parallels) bring opportunities of natural interaction with life in a more creative and artistic manner. Dreams can be clearer, higher feelings of love and compassion more accessible. However, the most long-lasting and deleterious of Neptune transits often takes place when it transits square, opposite, or contra-parallel natal personal planets/points, even some transits conjunct/parallel to them. This is because of the potential for the imaginative capacity which is Neptune's principle to mis-conceive, mis-perceive, and mis-construe the world or events of our lives. These can too easily become times of broken faith rather than faith tested and learned more deeply. Trust in life and in spiritual order is tested during these times. It brings to mind something Edgar Cayce used to talk about - the far reaching effects of fear and doubt. They creep in rather slowly. Very sneaky. It starts as thoughts of doubt, but when unanswered can eventually become debilitating. In all cases none of these challenges will be solved with ego or 'self' approaches, but with reaches into the ethereal spiritual realms where the realities of self-identities are lost and the joys of existence blur together like watercolors. Let's break it down so as not to leave any of this too Neptunian ... Neptune transits square/opposite/contra-parallel/quincunx natal Moon: These can be periods self-doubt that many cover up with drugs and alcohol, or other escapisms. This makes some vulnerable to stronger personalities and their manipulations so focus on finding your inner spiritual locus. By the same token, don't deceive others to cover personal insecurity or self-doubt. They won't want to trust you later. The key is to re-spiritualize my interior life so as to regain an intuitive and spiritual connection with what is transcendently ego-less. Yes, transcendently -- it's a word now. Neptune is a trans-personal energy beyond ego. It is not about your personality or its supposed flaws, or shame or guilt, but about alignment of mind with the Creative Nature of Spirit. The point of these transits is to bring into question the inner habits of thought and feeling that are tied to safety/security and to elevate that inner place back to its spiritual Source. Not a good time for choosing particular belief systems that will revolutionize one's life, but for investigation and feeling out the effects of the ones you've been carrying, often unawares. Test the spirits for truth and alignment with Love. If it is not compatible with Compassion, cast it out of you and your life. The most idealistic and doubtful persons are the most vulnerable during these times to cults and idealisms of narrow beliefs that can be as detrimental to spirituality as beneficial to it. Test the spirits. Don't let any idea or belief take hold of you. Take hold of what views or beliefs are appropriate for your life now and that bring you comfort without asking you to sacrifice your true needs. Look at health issues during this time for their underlying triggers in fear and ongoing anxiety. Hard Neptune transits to natal Sun or Mars: These are especially testing of the balance of ego and of our intentions in how we represent ourselves. For some (as it was for me) who are already prone to self-doubt or a lowering of self below others, these transits come with a warning to not short yourself. Lower physical energy and motivations are common with these periods. They can be periods of lower confidence. That is okay since the purpose inherent in the process is to purify one's motivations rather than continue to put self forward on an instinctual basis. The ego "I" is weakened in the process. Both can be characterized by lowered immunity, resistance to disease -- and to stronger, pushier personalities. Sometimes this is caused literally by how we have been voicing our inner condition and representing it verbally to others. After a time they may think that to protect us they need to step in and prop us up or tell us what to do. This in turn can reinforce the self-doubt. Instead, look for what beliefs or patterns of action are stopping you short of full expression of your dreams and desires. It is okay to have a lower motivation and physical vigor during this time, because this is a spiritual evaluation process that requires more attention to our inner condition rather than outer production. Those who are more given to drama may become more this way during this transit in a manner of manipulating others to get the results you used to get for yourself. Don't do it or others may resent you for it. Represent yourself honestly and be honest in private about your doubts and get a supportive perspective in return from loved ones. It is okay to say, "I'm not as energetic or motivated as usual." We all get a break on this when we need it. Don't expect to be best able to deal with confrontations or competitions during these periods. Pull back from those and take a look at what might have been missing from your life (or body: nutrition, sleep, rest, etc) that needs to be added in order to restore your vigor. Hard Neptune transits to natal Mercury: These are the ones most likely to become periods in which flights of fancy take a person out of a practical mindset and into dreaming or aspiring. Unfortunately, for most a fair amount of wishful thinking and unrealistic idealism can creep in. So look at it as a time to push some boundaries in how you see the world, in creative production, but not at all a good time for major life decisions. This is a wait-and-see period of life. Remind yourself that you need more information and to see the whole picture -- literally through the entire duration of these transits, which can each last for several years. You may unintentionally mis-communicate at times in spite of your best efforts. Be willing to apologize and clarify, but be sure to correct the pattern so that it doesn't become a period of constant justifications, apologies, or self-splaining. You are able to see things and conceive of things in a more visionary way than normal. This is good, especially for creative efforts -- really good for that. But the totality of what you are seeing will not necessarily form the basis of a belief, material certainty, or basis for altering your material circumstances or relationships. It is a time of conceptualizing more richly. That is all for now. I'll come back later with more on Neptune. Peace out and have a great weekend. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓
