I haven't heard that much about this aspect in the natal.. I recently realised that I come across/ interface with my environment in a far more impatient, hurried and rushed manner than might be typical of a cappy ascendant. It is also hard for me to hide any irritation I might have, though I always contributed that to mars in the 10th.... Anyone have any insight? Personal experience? IP: Logged |

Mars in Libra here too!!! 😊Mars square or in aspect to anything brings out touchiness, impatience and irritability-particularly when it aspects the Moon,Sun/Asc,Planet in the 1st house or ruler of the 1st house. I have Mars in aspect to the Asc(Aries),Moon and how i feel is often written on my face. Look at your Saturn placement/house Aqua is in to decipher where you are slow to show any emotions

Mars square Asc is a stimulant of tempo and urgency in self-expression. It heats up self-expression once you are in motion. The results of this aspect can vary greatly, depending on what sign the Asc is in and what the other aspects there are. Outward behaviors under the Mars square Asc influence can range from impulsive or compulsive behavior to full-on A-type hard drive, the competitiveness of an athlete. A personality in balance can use this type of aspect to be very productive, yet may also be busy during leisure time, doing leisure 'activities.' ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

I have a question. Do Mars/Asc natal aspects give someone Aries qualities? I have Mars opposite Ascendant (Gemini Mars opposite Sag Asc). IP: Logged |

I would say that is is a state of being uncomfortable with showing your drives and passions in your daily life. A person may feel uncomfortable with competition, for one example. A person may feel uncomfortable showing how much he wants a goal, such as a job, for another example.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Maybe, but it is just as fair to say that a person with planets/Asc in Aries has Martial qualities. One is a sign-based perspective, the other a planet-based perspective. I prefer the latter since it is the planets that are the movers and the principles behind the signs. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

I think what you and Kannon wrote struck a chord with me.I do agree that Mars "heats up" the need for self expression . And perhaps also self assertion. But I have always found Mars description as "aggressive" or "violent" as hard to swallow. Passionate? Yes. Demonstrative?Absolutely. Animated? Of course. But agressive? Really? Well that is until i realized that I have a dissociative complex with my agressive side. My Mars is not only in Libra but conjuncts the 7th house opposing my Asc by 1 degree. I am very uncomfortable with letting my "passionate" side show and will often disguise it by being extra nice(Libra) and palatable. This despite having Mars/Moon,Mars/Mercury,Ma/Ven aspects. Its a back forth motion to "compose" myself and not be so "outwardly obvious" Even when i think that i am about to go beserk. I detach and try to bring it back to the middle(Libra). It does not always work as people soon sense that I am being pushy or impatient. When i want something, I dont want people to know i want it.I go after it indirectly and try to attract it to me. This is very true in pursuing a partner as i can make it out to be that "they" are the one that wants me etc. And they soon believe it. I dont ever want to seem zealous or competitive etc. And i often get things(titles/positions/accolades) because of my emphasis on Venusian qualities i.e being coorperative, palatable, charming etc. If you could see inside my heart however, you would find someone who is strongly competitive with hot emotions just below the surface. In interviews, the Mars in 7th comes out fully. But always with a strongly Venusian touch(Libra Mars) So they get the heat(Mars) but with the breeze too(Libra) IP: Logged |
