2H Sagittarius and Capricorn. Uranus, Neptune, and the North Node in 2nd. 6H Taurus. Sun in 6th. 9H Leo. Jupiter in 9th. 10H Virgo.---- Job: Unemployed. However, I'm currently training to become a medical transcriptionist. No idea if it's worth it, but I'm going to give it a try. Profession: N/A. Schooling Level: Some college. It's unlikely I'll graduate, which makes sense with Chiron in my 9th house (9th house includes higher education). Dream Job: Writer. I want to develop my artistic abilities, and in combination with writing, make a visual novel. So far, I'm thinking that I might have to throw away my dreams just to get a more stable income. Current Job: Full Stack Developer, Basically a sever guy and web developer mixed into one.Profession: Software Development and Geomatics (Computerized Geography/Geology) Schooling level: College Degree in Game Development (in Canada college is considered a technical or community college degree, not a full university degree lots of misconception in the US). Currently finishing my last year of university in (BCS) Bachelor of Computer Science - Computer Science Honours at the university level, lots of math but its important to know because thats what separates a programmer or code monkey to a true software developer, computation time and algorithms. I never learned any of that from my technical college. Plus ----- I have 3/4 of a degree in Bachelor of Science Physical Geography - Specialization in Geomatics. Pretty much one twin wants to be closer to geo-science the other wants to be a software developer or engineer. Debating which root to go: 1) Finish what was left of my BSc in Physical Geography and pair it with my BCS Computer Science. 2) Finish my BCS Computer Science, then do a Masters in Earth Science. 3) Do both 1 and 2 Even with my Computer Science Degree I have lots of flexibility I can finish now with regular honors or add an extra few courses to make it a specialty. I originally had the Algorithms specialization then Software Engineering. I switched to regular honors to have more flexibility and be able to get out of sticky situations. By being in regular honors, I've saved my CGPA from disaster. Dream Job: I'd love to be developing weather algorithms, whenever a meteorologist goes on the TV he/she is presenting the best computer model of the weather. An application takes all the weather data and creates several different models. The best one or average of all models is selected. or "True Geomatics" lots of people from other geo-science fields claim to be GIS or Geomatics developers. They know a lot about hydrology or other geography/geology fields...but then they start coding without having any computer science backgrounds. They then write slow or "laggy" software, which bring down the creditability of the entire profession. Vary hard to find a person/job were there is an expert at both, but when you do that person is really something special!!!. Placements

I choose it because its become very competitive and software development is a very demanding field. If I could go back I'd probably do a biology and Chemistry degree then go into medicine. But my parents would have never supported me to do that . Most gems with the right placements can become curious to learn almost anything and combined with the right environment can learn and make anything work. The geomatics part came in because a big proportion of the Canadian economy is linked to either mineral and oil extraction or preservation and tourism of these sites. Plus... My IC, Venus and 4th house is in Taurus. So I feel at home with anything "Earthy". Also my Mercury requires something logical which is also conjunct my jupiter. 2nd house Aries with Mars conjunct AC from XII in Aquarius VI house Cancer ruled by Scorpio Moon in X house MC in Scorpio with Jupiter and Moon conjuncted Saggitarius Uranus conjunct MC as well A dream work in between a police officer and a teacher, I worked as a teacher many years ago. Have been interested in tanatology as well. I actually work as an assistan from home as freelance and also give language lessons.
Always in a doubt about my real vocation. Neptune conjunct my Sun in X is the guilty of that. Many years ago I studied to be an air hostess but never had chance in that arena. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure if it's because my Jupiter is opposite Uranus, but no, not at all. Every time I've made a significant move, finished a degree, or just gotten tired of a current job, I have found it hugely difficult to find new employment - much more so than other people in my personal/professional network. In terms of keeping a job/getting promotions - my career path doesn't really lend itself to promotions, so I'm not sure (I just move up the pay scale with years of experience/further education credits - but I don't really get new titles/responsibilities, as such). I've never been fired from a job, though, so....heh IP: Logged |
