I don't recommend the approach described above, particularly the secondary progressed Asc, which is a symbolic fiction. Confirmation or hints are best taken from actual planets or Lunar Node positions (not asteroids), and only if looking in both zodiac and declination. Very often the tightest synastry aspects with parents, children, siblings, mate can occur in declination and with the IC or MC. Don't bother with synastry with mere romantic interests. It needs to be a relationship bonded by biology or commitment and time for the karmic/soul family factor to underlie it.

With me its a bit tricky as I have two Dads.

Mom has Sun parallel my Mc less than 1 deg orb
Mars conjunct my Mc 4 degrees/square Asc 2 Deg
Venus conjunct my Ic 4 degrees/Square Asc 2 Deg
Saturn conjunct my Mc 4 degrees/ square Asc 2 Deg

Dad(Biological)

None major aspects except Saturn parallel to Mc( less than 1 degree orb)
Saturn trine Asc- 3 Degree orb.

Dad(Grew up with)

Sun parallel my Mc-less than 1 degree orb.
Sun conjunct my Ic - 3 degree orb
Pluto paralel my Ic- less than 1 degree orb.
Venus paralel natal Asc-less than 1 degree orb.

Sister

Moon conjunct my Ic exact
Venus/Jupiter conjunct my Asc -4 degrees.
Saturn parallel Mc

Despite Venus/Asc parallel aspect and other connections with the non biological Dad,we are not close. If anything, his Saturn conjunct my Sun is more apt of the nature of our relationship. Very formal

My biological Dad and non biological Dad both have Cap Moon. I think my Mom had a thing for Cap Moons(her Venus being conjunct Saturn in Cap and Juno conjunct). Because if it wasn't either of them that she got involved with, she would have chosen another Cap Moon/Sun.

I don't feel that close to any family member tbh. I have established some distance emotionally over the years. But I do feel obligated to them. I am present for them, but I don't feel they "see" who I am.

Yes I know of the Solar Arcs. Watched Lauren Delsacks videos a while back. She is thorough.

Solar Arc Uranus will arc to conjunct the Mc in 8 years... But its so far

But in 6 years it will Arc to square natal Asc 20.

Check out SA to all angles, conjunct, square, opposition….outer planets if possible, then ponder if there were major event triggers. It’s best to work with the maths before the changes if you can and obviously it works better for people who have had huge life changes.

I mean, if you want an example; check out the Solar Arcs for Stephen Hawkins, plus transits. Prolific lives = prolific transits + SAs (that rule is so much more true than for simply the natal chart itself!)

The last major upheaval in my life was in 1994. In that year I had a car accident and my younger sister was born.

The reason its so unique to me is that these events happened very close together and because I was young,I had no conscious defenses to intellectualize what was going on

Uranus /Neptune were conjunct in Cap 23 Degrees and 21 Degrees respectively.

Both formed aspects to the Asc at 20 Aries as well as the Mid-heaven 22 Cap.

There is a solar arc of my other sister from further back '87

Solar Arc Moon at 21 Cancer square Asc 20 Aries and oppose Mc Cap 22

Solar Arc Mercury at 20 Cap square Asc at 20 Aries and conjunct Mc Cap 22

Solar Arc Mars 22 Libra oppose Asc 20 Aries and square Mc 22 Cap.

Fast forward to 2005 when I changed my majors in varsity, Solar Arc Neptune in Cap 20 square Asc in Aries 20 and conjunct Mc Cap 22

I graduated in 2008 when Solar Arc Sun/Neptune was in 24 Cap conjunct Mc in 22 Cap. And Solar Arc Jupiter 19 Cap was square natal Asc 20 Aries.

I think the current 20 Aries Asc degree is correct if I look to the past.

What drove the inquest was the the Uranus retrograde motion at 29 Degrees in August 2017 that prompted a sudden change in my life

My advice is always to work with something 100% once you've made a choice and see how it 'feels' but so far it certainly sounds accurate.

I once tried working my MC as Leo. As it's 29'46 Cancer just 2 mins later on the clock edged the MC sign. I lived it for a few weeks and it just felt so wrong! I'm definitely a Cancer MC but you see, as I was singing live a lot at the time I needed to check. Regardless Venus is opposite the MC from the 3rd House and that describes my singing. Even then it has to be emotionally based, I am 100% Cancer MC but it's hard to recognise from the 'inside' sometimes. Especially with the angles.

Anyway I think you should have an Ascendant party :-)
