It can seem like astrology contains more challenges than support. Although that's not necessarily true, it does help to refocus from time to time on windows of opportunity for growth, relief, renewal. These happen more with the influence of Jupiter than any other factor. As any planet, Jupiter can make these major transits to natal points: conjunction, parallel, sextile, square, trine, quincunx, opposition, and contra-parallel. That's up to 7 different major transits to any point in your natal chart at any time. Jupiter transits to natal Sun can renew vigor, vitality, and expand the playing field of your life, encourage you to try new things, give you a confidence boost to stretch yourself. The stronger of these aspects can trigger over-confidence if not kept in balance. That may require a bit of outside perspective. Jupiter transits to natal Moon can allow a greater sense of flow, ease, a sense that all is well. The stronger of these influences can mean 'growth' in the harmful sense of indulging our appetites for excess food, drink, or emotional gratification, but it can be kept in balance. Similar dynamic with transits to natal Venus, only there is generally more hope for love, affection, or some reward or luxury desired. This combination of Jupiter and Venus can also lean one to indulgence or to greater social outreach or even creative efforts. This combination can allow one to put forward a more attractive face or enact greater consideration of others. So it is an excellent window of opportunity for relationships. Jupiter transits to natal Mercury can allow increased confidence to take on more learning and/or communications, depending on what your life is calling for. You can find greater range to your interactions with others that do not depend upon face-to-face social encounters, given the options we have today for electronic communication and online learning. If you write for a living or want to, this kind of transit can help your writing become more elaborate, more free and dramatic. Same for actors. The harder aspects may lead some to blow things out of proportion, but that can be kept in balance as needed. Jupiter transits to natal Mars can create an urge for action and more dynamic living, creating momentum and decisiveness. If used only recreationally, there are benefits, but not as much if used for decisive actions to renew fitness or press forward with life objectives. These are times the body can be reinvigorated with energy and blood flow which in turn can increase confidence to take on risks that were previously unattractive. Jupiter transits to natal Saturn are times when inhibitions can be reset, problems can be solved that seemed intractable. A fresher, more positive perspective can be regained with confidence if problems or negativity has been wearing you down. The flowing transits can be windows of opportunity for wisdom to overcome fear. The harder transits are generally times in which there needs to be a re-balancing of one's restraint or an opportunity to leap over obstacles. Jupiter transits to natal Uranus are windows of opportunity to break out of the limits of your prior life and leap out of ruts. It can be quite liberating. The purpose is to open up with the sensation of the world being at your fingertips; to take in more perspective, become more friendly with the previously unknown from where all the best new things come. Greater freedom can result, even from the stressful transits. There is knowledge available from new perspectives, other lands. Jupiter transits to natal Neptune can range from very helpful in re-creating our life vision, our worldview, and ideals to can't-lose delusions. The harder transits (square, opposition, etc) need to be times in which there is a review of the potentials of the imagination, but with differentiation between wishful thinking and a viable vision and what it takes to realize it. Beliefs, religion, and broader thinking in general can get too blow out of proportion, turning into something really negative later when the confidence of Jupiter is gone but the beliefs are kept. Jupiter transits to natal Pluto are times when financial benefits and business activities can more easily be accelerated. The flowing transits especially can be used to resolve financial difficulties, or at least relief the pressure considerably. Resources of various kinds will be more readily available if you are looking for them and make the effort to take hold of them. Jupiter-Pluto aspects are also excellent for rebuilding the resolve it takes to step more confidently forward. Risks can be taken with a deeper sense of confidence not dependent upon just momentary confidence or aggressive energies. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Declinations: because the planets move north and south of the celestial equator IP: Logged |

I love this article. Thanks Kannon. Currently tr Jupiter is square to my Venus +luminaries. Almost an exact parallel in declination to my natal Moon. I suppose this is emphasing the square energy? (Since it's not a harmonic aspect, perchance it's less as you described in my case? It might be lending me resistance with temptation. Idk. I've battled my comfort zone (indulgences with sweets+snacks), lately I've been feeling stronger over quitting.

Hey Kannon, as of now my life is okay but not really "in motion", I've already done a lot of things I've wanted to do in life and my music has taken off a little bit. Not a lot though. Currently, Jup is in my first house and I've felt a lot more positive with my outlook in life for the most part.Anyways I noticed in my progressed chart in about 5 years I will finally leave Scorpio rising and become a Sag rising along with Jupiter conjunct my ASC for a while. I am looking forward to this greatly. It will also be trine my Sun and Mars. Jupiter rules my 2nd house and also resides there natally. I've always thought that around this time my financial gain will increase, would that be a safe assessment? I honestly can't shake the feeling something good will finally happen to me for all the Saturn and PLuto (mainly) I've experienced ... god I hope so man IP: Logged |

i have jupiter currently going retrograde on my natal uranus. I am really upset as no opporutinity knock at the door while i have a kick ass natal jupiter and even a great uranus in grand trine each other. I guess Tsaturn sqaure my sun block advancement, maybe when saturn will leave the square in may i will have the pending breakthrought showing up later after the lift up of saturn.but in a general way, i find jupiter giving less and less good things even the stronger good jupiter transit as i am aging and i am more and more freeze into saturnian stagnation. i think he just protect in some way, pitfall etc..it's alaways good to take IP: Logged |

Jupiter on ASC, weird enough I haven't gain weight, actually I've been loosing weight during retrograde. It will turn direct over my ASC exact so who knows, I'll take care of myself with that. Jupiter in Scorpio trine all my personal planets in Cancer but that's the transit I haven't felt, the one I'm dealing is definitely Chiron. IP: Logged |

THAT is a major window of opportunity to turn your goodness inside out! Yes, there will be some temptation to indulgence, but if you are intent on unleashing your creative energies and displaying a bit of what you're working on you can really boost your optimism. If you are clear in purpose it can be a great time to open your social life -- wide open. quote:

Yes, but the part of Jupiter parallel natal Moon gives you a chance for your inner self to come out. That may not be what you'd call all good, because Jupiter will help bring to the surface whatever you've been carrying around emotionally. But it is an excellent time for being more honest with yourself, honest about what you're feeling and to accept it. Overall, it can be a great time to renew your love of life, yourself, and your fellow humans. Let loose a bit! Do something playfully irrational! ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Declinations: because the planets move north and south of the celestial equator IP: Logged |

Radium -- dude, you've got Jupiter in transit parallel your natal Mercury now, and it will move into square with it (while also trine your natal Saturn) before moving back into parallel with Mercury later. You've got some good windows of opportunity for seeing more clearly and stretching your optimism now. Why look 5 years down the road? These Jupiter-Mercury transits are good for crafting a vision and laying out steps in the direction you want to go, talking it up to more and more people, emphasizing the best possibilities and talking as if you can get there eventually. Time to renew the positive vibes you put out with your words. The more you tie this optimism to your plans and ambitions, and speak that, the better you can expect things to be down the road. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Declinations: because the planets move north and south of the celestial equator IP: Logged |

OK, well good luck with the move. But the optimistic place is in YOU. I assume by your plans to move into a better situation you are putting to use the Jupiter-Mercury transit right now to make plans for a better step forward. So well done. You'll get there. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Declinations: because the planets move north and south of the celestial equator IP: Logged |

For the record. I currently live in Mississippi by the way. Need I say more? It’s great place for retiring folk but not a 23 year old artist. The only reason I’m not completely in the gutter about my situation is due to the fact I’ve already been and lived in the places I’ve wanted. At the time I was younger and didn’t have my plans together, now I’m back with my parents and my musicianship is sharper and I have greater self awareness. Can’t wait for the move, I’ll be living with my Aunt in Arizona for a while until I get my own spot out there. Never moving back to this place again. Thanks guys happy transits to y’all as well IP: Logged |

As one Saturn person to another. I'm just saying be a bit patient, because Saturn is one slow turtle. I know that you're a Sun conjunct Saturn, in Pisces. It's only now at age 30 that my life has 'started'. Who knows, though? Maybe you'll be successful earlier than I am, before 30! IP: Logged |

My favorite of these by far is Jupiter trine Venus. I don't know if it's because my Venus is so "afflicted" with its tight squares to Mars & Saturn, but it usually proves to be very good times in my life. Even the opposition wasn't so bad. Just made me gain weight with too much eating out.

When I first started, Jupiter was transiting over my NN in my 2nd house. My bestseller happened while tr Jupiter was trine Venus, then Mercury right after. Both events weren't isolated though. When I look back at those charts, there was a perfect "storm" of transits brewing. Almost all the big planets were trine/sextile or conjunct natal planets at the same time. Definitely wish I could experience those kinds of astro storms more often! IP: Logged |

I gotta agree. Jupiter on Venus is an amazing aspect. People with this in their natal charts are beyond fortunate. Many friends, loving relationships, opportunities to increase fiances (Venus) and their sense of style is appreciated naturally. Can even inspire others through works of art but on a more philosophical scale rather than a self-sacrificing one (Neptune). I don't really like my Venus even with it in the third. It does give me a lovely voice but other than that there's not much to it. (Venus in Cap conjunct Neptune/Uranus/Sextile Pluto) IP: Logged |
