Is Chiron related to one's profession? Mine is in Leo conjunt 6th house ruler, i have always dreamed of becoming a doctor. I remember how after high school, and after not being granted admission to medical school, i was so shocked and hurt for the next 5 years, i never forgot about it. The ruler of the 6th is the same as the 3rd house, dunno if that makes any sense... IP: Logged |

Chiron has nothing to do with your profession, I believe the 10th house (the house of your career/profession) is what they were referring to, when asking about this placement posited with Chiron.Chiron in the earth houses can be good for careers centered around bringing awareness to or personally healing other people's wounds. But it's just an asteroid on its own so you'd need to evaluate other parts to see exactly if that is what this person is capable of doing, or even wants to do. IP: Logged |

Chiron shows PAIN. You have to find what each house is associated with and then you can see the area of pain. It could be the father, career or society, in general, when we are dealing with the 10th House, my Friend.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Yes I know but I've read that people with this placement are usually good in careers that involves helping or counseling others. And yes it can be that there are issues with the father. That's the case with me. IP: Logged |

My mom has Chiron in the 10th in Pisces. She is a house painter and feels she greatly missed her calling as a singer/artist. She has a lot of regret about her career, or lack of. Not sure if this is useful. IP: Logged |

I can see why she would want to be an Artist having Chiron in Pisces that makes sense. IP: Logged |

Oh, yes that's true this placement can also show regret, wounds, and a need for healing in one's career. Like you didn't accomplish all that you wanted to in your career and then something came up that made it even more difficult for you to do that. You might've picked up another career path that was more financially suitable to your needs or was more acceptable or was just plain easier to tackle. If, later on in life, you are given the chances, though, to get back to doing what you had always wanted to do with your career then you must do exactly that and not give up, no doubting yourself. Chiron can also give us crippling fear and self-doubt in the house it pertains to. Thinking on it, this might be a more disheartening placement to have. I say this as we all have a desire for a career and we all want a career that matches up best with our lives and our goals and our happiness. Thus, having Chiron hear can bring successes but not the successes one may have strived for in the career. You may have pursued the right career for you, but you easily self-doubt and get disheartened at simple failures and end up not achieving the critical acclaim you felt you deserved. Chiron is very mental like this...You can have all the opportunities in the world at your beck and call, but you have to believe you're worth the career to actually get the career and make it last, the self-doubting and regrets have to be pushed back. These people are more susceptible to that. IP: Logged |

Seems like she tried to be practical about the artistic tendencies of Pisces? Ie, painting. But somewhere in her psyche she had to compromise. Somewhere in her psyche (earth placements?) she understood the low odds of making it as a painter and tried to merge the art side with the money-making/survival side. That seems to me to be a pretty good compromise and smart move. With the Chiron there though, it's a painful loss. And she is stuck in that pain (because of Chiron). Another person without the Chiron may have said nevermind and accepted the choice and circumstances with reduced pain. It's not too late for her to do singing/art classes

You guessed it! She’s a Capricorn Moon. And has a Leo NN that intensifies the blow of her missed creative endeavors. And yes, it has caused so much pain and even the inability to be happy for others who did pursue their passions. OP, could it be with Gemini in 10th you feel conflicted between too many career choices/hobbies/talents? As a Gemini Rising I’m honestly a jack of all trades and master of none. Too many interests! And I work in bursts of creativity, peaks and valleys, not in a steady routine way. I admire my Double Taurus husband who is committed to one craft —woodcraft, lol — and pursues it with steadiness everyday. Or does Gemini perhaps just indicate your desired career? Communications, Writing etc?

I have Chiron in Gemini in the 10th house. So I guess that would mean I'd be good with something that involves communication that relates to the 10th house. I'm not really sure what it means exactly. Nope it's not too late for her if it's really what she wants to do. IP: Logged |

I can relate to this specifically the part about picking a different career that is easier to accomplish. I really like psychology and I really think that becoming a counselor or social worker would be a good fit for me. But it would take at least six years to do so. Therefore I just decided to do Massage Therapy because it's a lot shorter and easier to accomplish. I do like Massage Therapy I like the idea of having it as a side job. But not as much as I like Psychology. Now in my early 30's I feel like I've waited too late. Awhile ago I told my parents I wanted to become a psychologist or therapist. And they told me it wasn't a good idea it made be discouraged so I just said forget it. But now I wish I would have done it anyway regardless of what they had to say. People tell me it's not too late but honestly it may take me longer than six years. I would only be in my early 40's though so maybe it's not too late.
