There are a number of people that I am meeting whom-though unaware of astrology-have gone through this transit or are going through it.Many of them speak of themes that are to be expected from a Saturn transit i.e how "serious" and heavy things got/get.How they had/have to give "more" etc. And it confirmed to me the relevance of Saturn transits to the Sun. As I grew in knowledge and study of astrology, I kind of admittedly abandoned the significance of transits to the Sun & got preoccupied with angles and other planets. But it certainly doesn't stop Saturn from packing a punch. * Gemini Sun 24 degrees Saturn opp transit in 2017 had a friend "own up" to a spiritual calling he had long put off. The initiation process was heavy!! * I have Sag Sun 29 Degrees. Saturn conj Sun had me pack away corporate and go back to school in 2018.It wasn't bad but it took readjustment. * Cancer friend with Sun 18 Degrees has Saturn currently in aspect to his Sun by opposition. He got promoted to managerial position. Pluto transit opp Sun is also assisting in his advancement(Libra Asc 18 Degrees joining in the fun) * Aries friend with Sun 16 Degrees is facing some challenges with a new Manager this year. Mars Libra 17 is also affected by Saturn.Pluto closing in on Mars is stressing him out. A number of local celebs/politicians etc. with transit Saturn on their Sun are feeling the brunt too.Either with being axed from positions or having scandals come out etc. Its like Pluto/Saturn in aspect are "doubling down" on authority figures thoroughly. And my feeling is that additional planets to Sun emphasize this "heaviness". I advize people who are going through Saturn on Sun to do everything legibly/by the book and not to step out of line or take shortcuts. It can certainly backfire. Badly! They may have to slow down a lot and take the long route (Saturn) to personal goals(Sun). Its not self expression that matters now but the relevance of it within a certain context. So someone may be on top of their head "critiquing" them a lot. Say for instance you are in a high position.Watch what you say as people may misconstrue your words which were meant as a "joke" to be more menacing and/or harsh. In the end,you can come off looking really bad and dent your reputation. There is a Cap Sun guy 11Degrees whose woes with the law started in 2018 and are ongoing this year because he made a racially charged twitter comment. His business suffered to a point of closing down and he appeared on the news lately -looking like an old, tired beaten man. Saturn was just 3degrees short of an exact conjunction to his Sun when his case was televised. How is Saturn treating your Sun?

Saturn is in my 12th house right now, squaring my sun. Things are going to get very difficult for me soon with a challenging academic course load looming. I'm going through a difficult breakup as you know lol and that's felt very heavy. I've been reliving some bad childhood memories but maybe that's Pluto? (Pluto is exactly on my ascendant right now.) Lately I've been oscillating between wanting to hide and refusing to hide. Though I guess I've chosen to hide bc the plan is to throw myself into my schoolwork and research headfirst with nothing else "existing" for me. I've already begun to isolate myself from friends, family is next. IP: Logged |

The isolation from people is to be expected from Saturn transit. This may not necessarily be through physical isolation but the emotional or psychological type. This to mean that even when in the company of people, you feel alone. So sometimes you may INTENTIONALLY avoid people because that's the way you FEEL. IP: Logged |

Opposite my Sun. I honestly couldn’t care less if I ever spoke to another human ever again but then again, I do have a Cap Moon so not scared of feeling “isolated”..IP: Logged |

Its interesting that you say this as a Cap Moon. My Dad has this Moon and I have always felt that he is very lonesome. Granted ofcourse my father isn't exactly a bundle of joy to be around. I have Saturn in 7th as well as Moon in 3rd trine Saturn, Mercury in 9th sextile Saturn, Saturn/Venus conj in 7th.I still feel the pain of isolation(not necessarily always physical isolation). But an internal melancholic state that increases exponentially when Saturn is transiting my Sun.

I have the square coming up again - it will be teaming with Pluto. I wish I'd been able to relax more at times this year, and get more done. It's had its moments, but it wasn't so bad, compared to others. I'm a bit concerned about what might be coming up.IP: Logged |

Sounds like you have a high work ethic. This Saturn will just add more pressure on you. It may lead to overexertion. Be mindful of that and take care of your body when you hear your vitals say "No". IP: Logged |

Don't get me wrong! I AM social and love to be AROUND people but I really don't care if I am spoken to or not. Preferably not..Always been like this ever since a child. I don't really feel that I gain that much by having verbal conversations with people, unless they are much older than I am (am 42) and can share life experiences which I could discuss all day long! I also LIKE feeling melancholic/depressed/dark/low. I like exploring those feelings. Somehow they feed me energy as opposed to drain me. People drain me.

I do when I'm working on something, but I was mainly referring to anxiety and depression that hits me. My year started out better than last year, but I was still depressed over certain things. It kept me from getting things done, and just relaxing more. I think my brain is also still getting over all of the stress that I was dealing with before, for years. I just hope that next year won't be too hard. The last time I had an easier year, in most respects, it was the year before I lost my mother. IP: Logged |

Reminds me of most songs from SADE. So sad and yet so good all at once! IP: Logged |

I have Sun trine Saturn in my natal chart. I'm also going through my Saturn return, Pluto crossing my natal Saturn and also my Cap ASC.In terms of prior Sun-Saturn transits, they were typically rough years where a lot of growth and maturing was required. One year in particular, I had to work twice as hard to make up for a mistake I had made, and also ended up picking up a lot of extra responsibility. I still have all of that responsibility, plus more worries, but I feel like I'm better at carrying it all on my shoulders than I was then. My priorities are clearer and I can more easily see a plan coming together for goals that I have. I've been particularly focused on going back to school, making more money, and maximizing the opportunities that I do have. It's all very stressful, but I think it will be worth it in the end. Physically, I'm exhausted. I've been to the doctor a couple of times now, and they can't find anything other than what I already know about. I think I'm just wiped out from a mixture of stress and work. Saturn and Pluto are brutal, physically...especially on my ASC. IP: Logged |

Its interesting that you mention Pluto/Sat on your Asc. I have Saturn/Pluto on my natal T-square Merc/Moon and Mars. And I am not as stressed as you are. Pluto/Saturn is also on my Asc by square. But Saturn is quite a distance away.So far I have been feeling tired. But I am not stressed at all.
