I've also seen it explained that Jupiter represents a code of ethics, or holding yourself to a higher standard (hence why some heavily Sag/Jupiter folks can come across as very preachy). Instead of interpreting Jupiter in the 7th for instance as being a position where that person will have multiple relationships, you can see it as that person approaches their relationships from a very ethical point of view so whatever code of ethics they abide by is the one they will project (i.e. being faithful).

You can't say that one aspect will play out in any which way definitively I don't think.

Side note, in my own experience I know Taurus Moon folks to be very faithful once they have "made up their mind" so to speak and have decided to devote themselves to one person. They are stubborn, hard to move and are above all creatures of comfort and pleasure so harmony is of the utmost importance to them.

Thank you I like the way you explained this it does make sense.

Scorpio is the god of the underworld, IDK why people think scorpio equals faithfulness just like that...it does not, yes it leads to obsession and over focusing on one person until it doesn't.

I knew a guy with a nearly exact chart as the guy you posted and he was married and had an affair and eventually divorced his wife, yes ladies and gentlemen he had a huge Scorpio stellium....

My uncle I mentioned earlier has venus in scorpio conjunct Jupiter! Lol

Scorpios secretly like secrets and are thrill seekers and yes can have affairs and cheat. My ex with sun in Scorpio and venus Conjunct pluto in libra cheated on his new girlfriends with me a number of times.

This idea that people have in their heads that Scorpio is so faithful is simply incorrect, it's the sign of desire and secrets afterall but they will make you feel like you are everything for a while bc for a while yes you will feel like everything to them but it doesn't mean they are saints lol...their intentions could be great don't get me wrong.

Nobody here ever said that Scorpio automatically equals faithfulness. Other people are just giving their opinions. But I never even asked about whether or not Scorpios are cheaters. I asked about whether or not men with Venus square Jupiter are players. Because that’s what I always read about them.

But it sounds like you think all Scorpios are the same based on the experience you had with them. So just because a guy who has a similar chart as this guy cheated. I guess that means this guy is the same right? Just because some Scorpios aren't faithful all of them aren't? Your uncle with Venus conjunct Jupiter acts a certain way. That means all people with this aspect will be the same? That’s what you think otherwise you wouldn’t have mentioned it.

You told me I shouldn’t always assume everyone is the same yet that’s exactly what you’re doing odd lol.

I do not think all Scorpios are the same, my point is that they are prone to temptation like everyone else but the astrological community tends to put them up in a pedestal in these matters which is weird bc of the nature of pluto, is like we see pluto/scorpio through Rose colored glasses but it rules secrets and our desire nature. Nobody likes to own they have a shadow side because it contains the parts of society that are rejected so we tend to not claim those parts so is hard to have an honest conversation like the one you started as people are often not honest with themselves or claim their shadow side.

Also I never said anywhere that all venus square Jupiter folks are players, that is the way you talk, I said there is a tendency for them to be restless in love relationships and mentioned a portion of them stay single bc of this even, to be free and live honestly. Astrology does not deal with absolutes but it deffinately deals with tendencies and inclinations if not it would not be a science at all.

I have been careful with my words and avoiding absolutes if you want to pretend I haven't that is fine.

As for bringing up Scorpio even though the thread is about venus square jupiter I can do that if I want bc of free speech and bc I feel like it. You posted his chart and he has a Scorpio stellium so why post his chart if people cannot comment on it, someone else commented on it and brought up his Scorpio stellium. I can respond to their opinion on that too and express my opinion on their opinion. That is what having an astrological discussion in an astrological forum is.

He also has DC in gemini which leads to restlessness in relationships as is the sign of the twin and ruled by mercury giving him a tendency towards boredom along with sag rising which needs adventures. His DC ruler in scorpio falls in the 12th, the house of secrets and our undoing/subconscious which could result in secret relationships/affairs and secrets in relationships ect...

But he has free will ofcourse. I would just follow my instincts if I were you, that is all you can do. Follow your instincts, proceed, let go and allow.

Well that is a synastry reading which you did not request for that on this thread.

But yes you guys could be compatible ofcourse.

Now my brother has DC ruler Saturn in the 12th and he is 45 and only has had one relationship that lasted about a year, his love life is basically non existent and he day dreams vividly about been in a relationship ect, it feels real. His love life is kept alive more in his imagination than reality. That is one way DC ruler in the 12th house can manifest too I suppose.

Your guy could be very romantic with DC ruler in the 12th.

Wow, I never saw anybody put Scorpio on a pedestal. Just because they speak about their experience doesn't mean they are putting them on a pedestal. Maybe the ones they are involved with aren't like the ones you have encountered. Nobody here claimed Scorpios are innocent so what does that have to do with anything? Yeah everyone has free speech you don't have to agree with what other people say. But that doesn't mean that they are wrong.

Of course not. But I was looking at killers charts earlier and Ted Bundy had a Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Scorpio. It worked well as a foil, people were convinced he was a decent guy!!!

This aspect simply means that the Venus attributes are magnified and often that means a very warm heart and a propensity towards indulgence. Please don't generalise, astrology is for opening up possibilities.

My friends boyfriend has a Venus sq Jupiter, and he does like female attention, and he has cheated on her possibly more than once. He likes his freedom too, going out with his friends on a weekend rather than stay home with her cuddled up on the sofa.

I usually read that about the square not so much the opposition. He’s actually been in long term relationships but I will thank you.

Thank you for your input I wasn’t trying to generalize but it seems like that’s what other people do in regards to this aspect. As well as with Venus square Moon. That’s why I asked because I wanted to get other people’s input. Yeah people really thought Ted Bundy was a decent guy.

A while ago I told him that I thought he just wanted to be friends with benefits. He said that he actually wants a relationship. He said that he thinks we connect maybe it’s our synastry. But that it’s fine if I just wanted to be FWB. I don’t like jumping into relationships. Also, he gets upset when I bring up astrology and when I try to compare him to what astrology says about Scorpios. He doesn’t like that at all.

Yes people tend to generalise everything, but when the media and the education system supports this kind of (non)thinking, I realise it is difficult for people not to do so. Also you have to learn some way, but decided to be dishonest or unfaithful is most definitely a *choice* that anybody could make!

Venus square Jupiter just 'does it large' overall, they are drawn to excess in whatever area of the chart is emphasised. Just as my Mars square Jupiter can be over the top and a little self-righteous ;-)
