Conjunctions maybe, but then again it'd depend on the house, how strong the Pluto might be...etcetera...IP: Logged |

Single most possible highlighted condition for ANY planet is a planet conjunct the Ascendant and/or in the 1st House, and if multiple, the Planet closest to the Ascendant unless other factors mitigate or alter (such as, one of those planets also being in it's own Sign, more closely aspected to the ruler of the Asc, etc. Hence, someone with Pluto conjunct the Ascendant and/or in the 1st House and closest Planet to the Ascendant, especially if also in Scorpio, will be uber/ultra Plutonian--essentially a personification of that symbol sans spiritual will. Use of spiritual will could potentially turn a Plutonian into a Venusian, Solarian, Jupitarian, Saturnian, or what not, but how likely is it given human nature and it's tendency towards inertia as a trend? (Humans being creatures of habit, consciously and especially unconsciously). IP: Logged |

I’d say quantity will beat quality. I see people with several Pluto aspects and\or personal planets in Scorpio seem to be heavier Plutonic.IP: Logged |

Why'd you want a rat to turn into a cat though ? A rat is a rat is a rat... isn't it Galactic ? I mean no offense to all the rats out there... I'm a pluto dominant too afterall *shrugs IP: Logged |

Dunno, but sounds like a great premise for a Dr. Seuss book! ; ) P.S. (spoiler alert, I sat on the rat who thought it was a cat who climbed into a hat. Oops, I did it again). IP: Logged |

Well, yah, one has to generalize for brevity's sake at times (and yes, I DO at least try to practice brevity...at times). The whole picture in actual practice can get more complex and relative. And that's a fine art of chart weighing. There are definitely different factors that can mitigate this. On an older thread, I gave an example of how a non 1st House/near Ascendant Planet could become more highlighted than a Planet nearest the Ascendant or in the 1st. I think I said something along the lines, imagine someone with Cancer Asc at 3 degrees and Cancer Venus at 10 degrees, but the Moon is in Aries and closely conjunct Aries Mars and the Aries Mars is closely conjunct the MC, and square the Cancer Ascendant with about 3 degree separation. In such a case, I would give the balance of weight to Mars over Venus. Especially as the person ages and gets towards their career years. But yes, for sure it can get more subtle and complex, but y'all generalize so much of the time, aren't I allowed to a little bit as well... Can't be mr. pedantic ((((HOLISTIC)))) (echo "ic..ic..ic..ic....") 24/7! Somebody stop spiking the damn vegan nog yo. Pluto in house 4 Pluto squares to personal planets, esp the moon. I have moon and ascendant exactly square pluto and my emotions are very plutonic. Also, moon is also my Asc ruler so my aura is quite Plutonic as wellIP: Logged |

It's like Jupiter conjunct Pluto. Roughly about 10-12% of the population. Jupiter can be known for overindulging. Scorpio can be known for power and sex. Many with the placement have to learn how to control their sexual urges. That's how strong the energy is.

Thanks for your response! Weird. I didn’t know this is a super plutonic placement. Oddly enough I just realized my dads Jupiter/Pluto conjunction is closely conjunct my sun/moon conjunction in Leo. I think this is a terrible synastry aspect to have...he is very controlling.

Thanks for the reply! Why would pluto in house 4 be very plutonic? Because it is like a moon-Pluto contact? I have pluto in house 4 and a Leo stellium that squares Scorpio Pluto but all at 7-10 degrees. Also widely oppose mars. I think my family has a very plutonic theme going on. My brother has a scorpio stellium of 4 planets and my sister has Scorpio moon conjunct pluto. My dad has Jupiter conjunct pluto opposite his sun and square Saturn. IP: Logged |

Thanks for your input! I’ve seen you write about planets closet to the ascendant being the most important or highlighted in a chart. It is very interesting because I have Venus conjunct ASC tight orb and also South Node all within a degree. My IC is in Libra. And in draconic chart I have ASC,Sun,Moon in Libra so I can definitely see the Venusian themes play out in deeper ingrained ways.

You're welcome MMarie. Yeah, when you look deeper into astrology, into it's history and different systems and traditions, it's interesting to note that one of the few commonalities/agreed upon principles in a more universal sense, is the extreme importance of the ASC and MC points in a chart. These are the two "power points" of a chart par excellence, and personify cardinality of activation (which for us, translates as "highlighting"). Dang Venusians. (j/k) Not only are they rather attractive in general, but I have to go and be particularly personally attracted to them (Venus in the 7th, and Libra Moon). (My core partner has Venus in her 1st, ruling Planet in Libra, and Taurus IC. The only other person I felt as strongly about, has her ruling planet in Taurus, and also Venus in 7th). Bah humbug. Perhaps I just need to accept that side of self and consciously integrate it more, and I won't be as attracted to it without? IP: Logged |

People with those placements can be dangerous if they don't know how to control the urges. IP: Logged |

This might be true if that placement is otherwise highlighted, such as by angularlity, major aspect to chart ruler or angle rulers, etc, but otherwise, Jupiter's Sign placement tends to be a relatively minor note in the grand scheme of a chart. But yeah, Scorp Jupiter in the 10th or the like, or conjunct the chart ruler, could highlight potential excess towards the themes of sex, power, etc. However, in such cases, Jupiter gets amplified in general, and Planetary energy is stronger than Sign, and Jupiter is more spiritually and ethically focused than Scorpio. I have a friend with North Node conjunct Neptune in Scorpio in the 7th, Scorpio on the 8th cusp, and Leo Pluto in the 5th. His path has NOT involved over indulgence of the sexual nature, but transmutation/redirection of same for a higher purpose. He is purposely/consciously/willingly celibate and redirects that energy to the higher centers through deep meditation. While I don't make this a habit, I've had experiences with it, so know that it's possible, and is actually one of the side effects of really deep, consistent and very fast vibratory meditation. I have Moon conjunct Jupiter in Aries, what do you think the possibility of my overindulgence? I have a hard time to associate overindulgence to Jupiter, I feel Jupiter is mostly has positive impact for me.. But I have Sun & Mercury square Pluto in Scorpio, and both aspect I feel may give more negative impact if I lack control or lack spiritual & self awareness which needs years and a lot of hard lessons to get to that level with understanding & surrendering. Saturn hard aspect is the same as I have Saturn conjunct ASC. IP: Logged |

The 4th house is our roots, our origin, our very early experiences that shape us forever so Pluto there will definitely influence your character a lot. And yes, also the Pluto-moon reference. I feel Pluto contact to the moon (except the trine and sextile between them) and including Pluto in the moon house, will make your emotional makeup rather extreme. The emotions are deep and oftentimes painful, there is a all or nothing approach to many things in life, rarely a middle ground. that is my experience at least. IP: Logged |

It'd be like a super-Mars. It'd be more dangerous if Jupiter was in Taurus which is like the 2nd house opposite the 8th. I sense having Jupiter in Scorpio or the 8th can be much stronger than having Pluto in Scorpio because of the associated mass of Jupiter. Also, the Sun in Scorpio too, because I sense the Sun likely has self-control checks whereas Jupiter energy can be tough to contain. IP: Logged |

It sounds worrisome. My daughter has Moon in Cancer 2nd house, Opposite Pluto in Capricorn 8th house. Jupiter in Scorpio 6th house. Mars in 8th house. Do you think she is Plutonic? I thought the stronger Pluto as a personality touches ASC or Sun in hard aspect. I always can sense Pluto/Sun people because their presence is always known or strong or at least they have strong character once you know them. Moon and Venus is more hidden and only the closest or lover can see how they truly are. Too much Pluto aspect to the personal planet isn't always necessarily look Plutonic to me, but strangely they always seems more look super manipulative, a person that I would be extra careful to close with. Yes. I would think the energy could manifest differently in a female though. A lot less dangerous for others. IP: Logged |
