Does anybody use Sun/Moon midpoints in their practice? What are your thoughts? Did you notice the significance and in what context? Does it matter for the natal chart interpretation, or transits, or synastry?IP: Logged |

I use it. But because my Sun/Moon midpoint has no natal planet conjunct, square or opposing it, it doesn't show up as distinctly externally as someone who does. For example, I have noted that my sister has Sun/Moon midpoint =Mars. And it absolutely does show up in her personality. Another example is David Beckham who has the Sun/Moon midpoint =Venus. He may have been the ONLY football player in existence that I know of, to introduce style/fashion and refinement to such a "macho" sport that football is known to be. I noticed that when Plu/Ura transits were on my midpoint in 2012/13, things in my life got pretty hectic. When transit Sat arced to square the Sun/Moon midpoint in 2018, I had to sit 2 years out and live very conservatively whilst completing my qualification in Foundational Educational development. When Mars was squaring the Sun/Moon midpoint in Jan this year, I left home after spending a whole month with family. It can be used in synastry too I.e. if partner's Mars is on your Sun/Moon midpoint, that would be similar to transit Mars on your Sun/Moon midpoint. So the partner may energize/irritate you. Mars has that dual effect. The other thing that can happen is when you find yourself compatible with someone whom you don't have significant Sun/Moon or angular contacts with. It could be that you BOTH have complementary energies via Sun/Moon midpoint I.e. their Sun/Moon midpoint= Venus AND your Sun/Moon midpoint = Mercury etc. IP: Logged |

My Sun/Moon MP is in Libra 2H. I have Libra Pluto there and I assume my Cancer Venus, Mercury are square that MP as well. Haven’t read all that many good things about having Pluto on the MP and I think they all fit. IP: Logged |

@Aries, how did the Pluto and Uranus transits over SM midpoint affect you? Were there other transits happening at the same time?@charlie, do you think the descriptions of your Pluto SM midpoint conjunction can be also represented by other aspects in your chart? I am mostly finding articles and videos about this midpoint being related to relationships. One of them (I’ll try to link it later) gives examples of how relationship start and end dates relate to transits to SM midpoint. But I’m not convinced… I didn’t notice anything similar in my chart. There were always other significant transits happening so I found this midpoint irrelevant. My midpoint is also 2 degrees conjunct Midheaven. It’s the widest acceptable orb. But also Midheaven is an abstract point, not a planet so it may not matter anyway. IP: Logged |

Yes. There were other transits that supported the energy flow. Saturn was crossing my Dsc at the time too. When SM =Plu/Ura square occurred, I was uprooting my life chasing a career. I was doing all I could do to "roll with the punches" and learn to adjust through a very uncertain time. IP: Logged |

When I was younger the Pluto in me was VERY evident but with age it's kinda switched to where I have suppressed that side in me to instead attract Plutonian people, which I am not comfortable with. I do not accept people being "Pluto" because it activates my Pluto and off we go... I have to be extremely careful with what people I keep around me, and their energies because I have some very (!) bad sides that I like to keep a lid on. I have no problems being a "low form of Pluto" with all that entails. There's a saying in the horse competition industry to "keep a horse honest" which basically means that sometimes horses want to act wild and not listen to the rider/handler and it thus needs to be put back on the right track with gentle hands. I fall under that category. I can be "honest" if you want me to and I can be very dishonest if that's what you prefer. I currently have pPluto stationed on my pAsc and pMars so the Pluto is heavy in me IP: Logged |
