Jupiter has entered Gemini and will form a square with Saturn in Pisces, twice in 2024 and once at the beginning of 2025. At the end of August both will affect my natal Sun in the 1st house - Saturn will oppose it from 7th house and Jupiter will square it from 10th house. I am curious to see how it might pan out. Cycles of Saturn and Jupiter were always pretty significant for me but mostly when angular houses were involved. Significant changes were always on the horizon. How will Saturn-Jupiter square affect your chart? What are you expecting from this transit?

This is a natal aspect for me. I'll have to look up previous transits like this.IP: Logged |

I wonder what it's like to have Jupiter-Saturn in a conjunction and/or a square!------------------ Happiness is easy to find. IP: Logged |

With the square, Saturn is likely to limit the potential transiting Jupiter in Gemini would otherwise bring but it might also refine it, make Jupiter’s benefits more grounded in reality and lasting. On the other hand, Jupiter might moderate some negative impact of transiting Saturn in Pisces. Both Saturn and Jupiter are needed for significant and lasting growth but they understand growth differently. Hence, the friction is inevitable.

I wonder what the Jupiter-conjunct-Saturn natally, manifests in real life? ------------------ Happiness is easy to find. IP: Logged |

I wonder what it is like NOT to have Jupiter and Saturn conjunction From cafeastrology:“ This aspect occurs about every nineteen years, lasts for a considerable period, and thus affects large numbers of people born during these times. In general, it indicates a period of law and order, and people born under it are pillars of society, quietly and nobly ambitious to succeed, but willing to do so only in an orthodox and utterly honorable fashion.” IP: Logged |

Tension. Drama. Decision paralysis. I don’t know. I have the square, and I don’t know. Pluto is also involved in the T-square. IP: Logged |

Maybe with the square only? No tension with the conjunction. It just takes a long time for their energies to balance out and work in harmony. Squares are more dynamic and create tension. With conjunction, I felt both Saturn and Jupiter influence separately earlier in life (exact conjunction, Libra, 2nd house). Overall, nothing comes for free, but hard work and ethical actions get rewarded. IP: Logged |

I have problems with motivation. Sometimes due to depression, but I also suspect ADHD - have for years. IP: Logged |

Jupiter on Saturn is the expansion(Jup) of limitations(Sat). The thin man(Sat) goes up a size or two in belt size(Jup). So that means that in the area of life where you were restrictive/restricted, you will gain more leeway to do as you please. Or atleast be able to expand known boundaries(Jup) Whilst Saturn on Jupiter is limitations (Sat) on expansions(Jup). The fat man (Jup) goes on a diet or has to reach an ideal weight (Sat). This could mean that one has to curb their enthusiasm (Sat) in the area of life where they had too much freedom and excess(Jup). This is about redefining or setting strong boundaries(Sat).

It sounds like Saturn wins in this case because it comes off like in the Jupiter conjunct Saturn; Jupiter wants to expand more limitations so doesn't that mean we get more limitations? And with Saturn conjunct Jupiter. Does this mean that Saturn will limit the expansion! I'm not always a fan of tight, and snobbish, Saturn, but it does sound like in this Jupiter conjunct Saturn, at least in an expansive/constrictive, sense, that Saturn wins! Although I do think that at the end of the day that there should be a nice balance of expansion and constriction. ------------------ Happiness is easy to find. IP: Logged |

They can be very powerful together. Wherever Saturn brings hardships, restricts us and also makes us work really hard, Jupiter in contact can give some positive reinforcement / reward and keep us going with a vision. (More for conjunction, but I imagine with a square there will be more tension between two houses). Saturn limits the expansion only in a sense that it forces one to build a solid structure and then Jupiter can expand within a structure. That’s a good thing because the end result is something really solid, big and unshakable! Jupiter rewards are like blessings, they don’t feel like a direct payment for our actions. So with Saturn, I feel like Jupiter rewards for our hard work are bigger and sweeter They are two giants. This is an ideal case of course, when they work well together. I also think together they give a sense of humility and healthy growth. With Saturn Jupiter conjunct in the 2nd house, I started from below 0 in life and had a lot of limitations. I still do, but I worked my way out - I’m far from rich, but I am now in a completely different world, seeing abundance but also a lot of vanity sometimes. So it’s a constant push and pull trying to balance and understand how to work with both worlds and mindsets. Eg I’ll buy an expensive bag, but without a visible label and only one that matches everything. Scarcity and fear are not good nor are vanity and wastefulness. In the case of square, this push and pull will be between differing attitudes/circumstances in 2 different areas of life. IP: Logged |

Yeah it's a balance! I feel like having Jupiter conjunct Saturn, natally, would be like riding a seesaw! ------------------ Happiness is easy to find. IP: Logged |

It may seem that way. That Saturn "wins". But it isn't that clear cut. Saturn is also about growth. But not necessarily as "good-feeling" as Jupiter. Saturn's growth is like growing pains- painful and unavoidable I.e. "adulting" through accepting a first time job. Though this job would give money. It also limits your free time and has you align to the rules and regulations of who you are working for(Sat) I.e. time clocked in, break time, work conduct and dress code, targets that need to be met,on the job training etc. The above can feel very restrictive. This even though you have more money coming in your pocket at week/month end. You also don't have the freedom to spend it all willy/nilly because you worked so hard for it. You want to spend it in a worthwhile and wise way. IP: Logged |

So I just went through this transit. Both planets were affecting my Sun in Virgo in the 1st house - Saturn was opposing it from the 7th house and Jupiter squared it from 10th house. During the duration of this transit I was on holiday and experienced two different things. First, I had some really nice time, saw some nice places and learnt new things which I attribute to Jupiter square natal Sun. But on the other hand, at the same time I was worrying about my deteriorating health: I frequently suffered from stomachache, muscles, joint and back pain, which was clearly due to Saturn opposing my Sun in the 1st house. I thought that these influences would blend and that the conflict of this square would somehow manifest in my life. But I didn't see any conflict. What happened is that these influences happened kind of separately and affected independently my natal Sun. IP: Logged |
