Topic: Astrocartography and my relationship with France

So I spent a part of my childhood in France and lately, have had some weird dreams about life there. Not in Paris but in smaller cities in France and I cannot figure out for the life of me why. Like some thing in my mind tells me through dreams that one way or another I might end up there and do so long-term. It makes no sense to me. When I did the Astrocartography chart, nothing runs over France for me. What is going on and what am I missing?

What house does Libra fall into your chart?I found more than one chart for France to be quite clear! Modern France is likely a Sun in Libra. What house does Libra fall into your chart? ------------------

I’m very new to Astro Astro cartography, but from what I understand a line doesn’t have to go directly through it to still have an affect. The lines near it can still play out. Have you tried clicking anywhere on France? (especially the cities you are interested in), usually an aspects or a few will pop up on the side with a description. There it will tell you what side of that line is the strongest as well. I would try that first and tell us what aspects show up.
From the looks of it though I see Neptune and Uranus might possibly have an affect there.
What are your dreams about?Have you been feeling like going back? Depending on the content of your dreams, it might be you are dreaming about France because it was part of your childhood and there is something you can’t seem to let go of from that time that is still hanging over you. I’ve had this natural inclination towards South Korea before I even knew anything about Astro cartography and it turns out my IC moon and IC Jupiter run right through it. Ironically I’m going to school for Korean/East Asian studies despite having no East Asian ancestry whatsoever. I’m not sure what it means for me yet, I just know I intend on going there. Whether it’s long term, I’m not sure but that my intention.
But if France for you is hanging on your mind, I believe if it were to be long term you might have more positive feelings towards going there, or feel it’s necessary. Natal chart placement is also important here! IP: Logged |

Hm, you can always generate your birth chart using the new location (in France) and local time (in France) at the moment of your birth.I'm pretty sure that's how you do it... but something still confuses me. I've lived in many different places so I looked at many relocation charts. E.g. I lived in the middle of the USA, and according to astro.com I was far from any line crossings. I became clinically depressed during that period! I created the relocation chart myself, and Pluto was 2 degrees from the Descendant in the 6th house! I don't know why astro.com shows the lines the way it does. (My other charts for other cities roughly matched the astro map lines.) Edit: I currently live close to Neptune MC line according to astro.com, but Neptune is 4 degrees from my MC in the relocation chart. My point is, generate the relocation chart yourself. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can explain why the lines on astro do not exactly reflect the distance of a planet from angles in relocation charts. IP: Logged |

Which house do you feel France is 'to you' more? Is it more of a 2nd house place for you? Or is it more of the 3rd house place for you? ------------------

Funny discovery here Preppyarcher and everyone.So you go to Astro.com and it shows you the map based on continent right? Well, once you are on the map of a given continent and click the dropdown again, it gives you more options JUST for that continent. You have major aspects, harmonious, disharmonious and neutral. Well, I did this for France. Come to find, the aspect I initially missed showed. That aspect was Mars Square Midheaven. My natal chart? Mars Conjunct Midheaven. Here is where it gets funky, I cannot find much on the internet about Astrocartography when it comes to aspects.

I bet your spirit guides on the otherside are trying to encourage you to consider changing location as climate change is making some places quite risky. Even going to Canada might be a better idea for a lot of people...
