Hi all! I hope everyone is well! I’ve been thinking about relocating to a new country (just a thought to) and I’ve had an astrocartography reading, in which the astrologer advised not to go to this specific location. It’s on my Neptune IC line, with Uranus close by and Saturn in the 4th. I was a little bummed as I’ve been drawn to this specific city for a while now. Does anyone have relocation/astrocartography knowledge or experience, and agree or disagree with this? I guess I’d like to get a few other opinions before completely scratching the idea. I could of course just take the risk and try it for a year, but wondering how potentially horrible it could be? Lol Here are the links below to my charts: Natal: http://ibb.co/280FNGw Relocation chart: http://ibb.co/KqBVHnb Thank you!

My take on these things is if you're drawn to some place, go and see why. Maybe I can look at your charts later more carefully, but just from the quick look I see that you don't have Pisces/Neptune energy in your natal, so having Neptune on the IC may be too challenging. In general having outer planets on angles when relocating is a big deal. Sometimes it is very beneficial if the person is familiar with the energy and needs to work with it. It can still be difficult, but there's purpose in it. And sometimes it is just unnecessarily difficult (e.g. I lived on Pluto DC line and it was terrible. I have very little Pluto energy in natal, and no work I need to do with Pluto. I left the location quickly).IP: Logged |

Hi Frida, Thank you for your time and thoughts on this! I don’t have much Neptune, but I do have a Thors Hammer configuration in my chart and Neptune is the apex - not sure if this at all matters? I don’t know much about that aspect. Maybe I’m just drawn to it because Neptune is “glamorizing” it. And that is good to know your own experiences with outer planets on the angles. I will definitely take that into consideration. IP: Logged |

I don't know what Thors Hammer is? http://elliecleary.com/neptune-line-astrocartography/ I relocated to Neptune MC line 15 years ago, during a significant Neptune transit, and still live there. Without a doubt I feel that Neptune a lot!! It was a huge challenge in the beginning. But ultimately good for me and my career because I have a good amount of Neptune influence in my chart. Saturn in 4th is also heavy. It might really weigh you down. IP: Logged |

@Frida A thors hammer is a square between 2 planets (in my case moon and mars) and then both of those planets sesquiquadrate the same planet (Neptune) which becomes the apex. Thank you for that link! It’s helpful. And yeah, maybe because I don’t have strong Neptune in my chart it will be more difficult for me. IP: Logged |

Plus you do have the indicators of someone most likely to leave their homeland 🤔Plu in 4th Moon ruling the 12th Jupiter ruling the 9th conj Asc Rahu (North Node) conj Dsc Retro Plu Cap 29 transit squaring your Mc/Ic axis at 26 Ari/Lib respectively. I am in agreement with @frida I would go to the place attracted to. Just to find out why I am drawn to it. If you don't, you'll always wonder "what if?". IP: Logged |

@Aries23Degrees Thank you for your input! I always appreciate your insight! That is interesting about my chart, I didn’t know I had so many indicators of leaving my country. I also have Sagittarius vertex (in the 5th house), not sure if that could be another? I recently had (within the last couple years) transit Pluto opposite natal Jupiter at the same time transiting Jupiter was opposite my natal Pluto. I noticed this was when I really started to take the idea of moving seriously. I think you’re right about trying it, because the thought of “what if” might be worse. Thank you! IP: Logged |

I spent 10+ yrs living in a Ottawa, I never looked at a relocation map until after my mother moved me there after HS.After my experience I put faith in relocation charts. A 30min drive West was exactly where Saturn crossed my Midheaven. The closer you are to your axis points the more you'll feel these energies. I really felt the energy, everyday I'd get up in the morning reminding myself how much I hated living here, but deep down I knew the need to carry on. When my solar return hit, It basically felt like I accomplished everything that was expected of me and i'm free to move back home, which I did. In one way I think it was helpful, in other ways I think the experience left a scare on me. Please pay close attention to the relocation chart, especially now during a time when people are becoming more hostile to outsiders moving in. I think Saturn on MC is more natural - 10th house is the house of Capricorn. As you said, as hard as it was, the work made sense. Saturn on IC or in the 4th house brings the harshness to home life which is not what most people need. Having Moon, Sun, Venus or Jupiter in the 4th house would be much better. I love this topic - I moved a lot and I really believe relocation charts play out. In my experience it's also good to take a note of where your Sun and other personal planets fall in the relocation chart - especially if they are concentrated in one or two houses. That played out 100% for me. IP: Logged |

Thanks DualGemV2! Saturn is definitely a heavy energy, and sounds like enough to not make you want to live in that location. From what I’ve been reading and the stories told, the relocation chart seems almost always accurate in some way or another. That’s the struggle with my decision! But maybe if I mentally prepare myself enough, the bad stuff won’t be such a surprise haha. (Just saw your note about outsiders - that’s a very good point! Especially at this time, you are right.)@Frida - my sun and moon move to the 11th house, so I’m thinking that would be my want to find community in a place where I would know no one. I love this topic too! IP: Logged |

Yes, but planets on angles trump everything else The place where I had Pluto on DC, I also had Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars in the 11th house! In Aquarius. It was so easy to make friends and they were such a joy! However, I was still diagnosed with depression despite that (I literally cried 8 hours a day, hurting because of relationship issues, I felt completely powerless) - the first and only time in life. So I got out of there and recovered when I left. EDIT: I don't regret moving there! It was a learning experience. Not saying it would happen to you. Just keep in mind things like that are possible. I don't have a precise answer, but I would go, and visit the place for like 4 weeks, or so. Who knows? Maybe, like you said, you could try living there for a year, maybe even two, and taking it all in! Your intuition about the place would be stronger if you actually go there! Those IC/4th house lines do sound hard. But, sometimes Astrology manifests in ways we can't predict. Maybe it's a situation of 'wait and see.' ------------------ Happiness is easy to find. IP: Logged |

@Frida, good to know, and I’ll keep that in mind! I’m a bit bummed out by it, but maybe I have to take it as a warning sign or heed with caution. Thank you Preppy! I think that’s a good idea, to go for less time to see how it is and what I can take from the experience. Even if I did go for a year, I can always come back. Nothings permanent! IP: Logged |

I don't know much about relocation chart, but an astrologer told me that a particular city was good for me. Haha! The city turned out to be hellish. Jobs were a struggle. Relationships were a struggle. I couldn't keep an apartment due to things beyond my control, resulting me in moving to a new apartment every damn year.I now live in the most magical place for me. Work and relationships are great. I have a beautiful and stable home. Social life is scintillating. I checked a cartography, and it says that this city is on my Neptune line. I happen to be Pisces rising, thus ruled by Neptune (and Jupiter) and this city has been nothing but good to me. I say look at your ruling planet and see if the city falls on that line. IP: Logged |
