Described in dictionaries as so: excessive tenderness, sadness, or nostalgia.Does it come from a specific sign or planet? I personally can't decide between Cancer or Libra responsible for that emotion. I have, however noticed that this is one of the human emotions holding many people back from growth. It's a hard emotion to get over no denying it, but it usually can't help but get sucked into the self-destructive and unhealthy realms of the human psyche. On a global surface this has the potential to make people famous and rich. What are your thoughts? IP: Logged |

Neptune. I think for years of Neptune transits, reminiscing, being attached to the past, and summertime sadness feels more fulfilling than experience present. Missing somebody might be more appealing than being with them. It often was not an easy job to stay present.

“On a global surface this has the potential to make people famous and rich.” - I wish it could…. But in reality, I see it holding back from life.Pluto is also about dwelling on the past, but I would think in a more negative way. When Neptune can romanticize all such of questionable things.

For me, there’s a difference between that, and feeling like you have no future. Nostalgia hasn’t held me back. Grief is different, too. IP: Logged |

I would not attach Neptune to the past. Neptune is mutable and changeable and loves to daydream just like the sign it rules Pisces they might become addicted to a person, a relationship or whatever else they might be caught up in at the moment but when it`s over they gonna swim away and forget all about it and start with their new fantasy or daydream of whatever new thing that has caught their minds unlike Cancer and Scorpio that always look back at their past. OP I would give this crown to Cancers, 4th housers and Moon dominant people. Nostalgia is big with them and they are very sentimental their minds are always on something that has happened in their pasts. To a lesser extent Scorpio/Pluto dominant people but at the same time i don`t see them as being so sentimental they just do not have an easy time with forgiving or forgetting.

Pisces can be a master of Neptune if there’s no affliction. it shouldn’t hold them back as Neptune aspects, transits. They can swim away, move on with their life, but still keep people hanging on somehow. Like one Pisces is used to say it’s my best friend about many people he hasn’t talk with for 10 years. They can forget they need to support connections in the real life or simply don’t have needs in it lol Past can hold back Cancer and Scorpio definitely much more . IP: Logged |

[/B][/QUOTE] Yeah but it`s not to a deep and somewhat obsessive level like it can be with Cancers and Scorpios where it`s to a point where they seriously need to get over something because it has been years already. Out of all the Water signs Pisces/Neptune seems to be the most "detached" out of the three and can move on or move too quickly into something. I have seen with some Pisces/Neptune people they quickly move into a relationship and start over- idealizing their partner or a new friend and acts like they have never been in love before or had a friend like that before and when it ends it`s all forgotten about and it`s onto the next person and then they`ll do the same with the next person. Sometimes i can`t take them seriously because of this but i do think they mean it right then and there. They also have a lot of love for everyone probably because it`s a Universal Sign/Planet it`s to a point where they can find themselves being in love with more then one person at the same time or like the Pisces man you know where they view everyone as their "best friend" IP: Logged |

Signs like Cancer are very retentive, they save mementos and are very sentimental. To a lesser extend, Pisces are also sentimental.Planets like Neptune can be sentimental because they tend to idealize. IP: Logged |

It was about detach attachment and being in their own world, not everyone is a friend. The last one would be more for fire signs. Yes, Pisces would be a more detached and the least obsessed from Water. It doesn’t mean they are not nostalgic.

Interesting. Thanks for all your replies.I personally think Neptune/Pisces energy is fleeting, even forgetful, and does not get stuck. In a way it's even constantly changing and shifting with anything it meets on the way. I guess I never paid attention that Scorpio can be nostalgic too. What about Capricorn/Saturn?
