When Mercury turns direct, one waits approximately 5 days for the influence to pass. What about Venus retrograde? I'd like to make some art investment, but I'd be advised to wait until Venus is no longer retrograde. When would it be safe to purchase? And should I wait also for the shadow period to be over, or is that unnecessary?Thank you. IP: Logged |

Oh I like that question I have no idea. I’d love to hear what others think. I’m planning to ask for a raise, Venus is transiting my 8th house and I’m trying to time it well. IP: Logged |

Hi Frida, what are the degree and sign of your ascendant? Venus in the 8th house sounds great for getting a raise, when it's direct. Of course you better look up other transits occuring simultanously as well. I've been searching the internet, and haven't found any indication for some days by which to wait after Venus regains direct motion. Some articles mention the end of the shadow period as a good closure for the retrograde process. I could wait to my Venus return in 5 months, had I known the art item I set my eyes upon would not be bought by then... I would still very much like to hear other people's thoughts and experiences in regards with timing Venus related activities and topics. IP: Logged |

My Asc is at 27* Leo. Saturn is currently 2 degrees past sextile my MC, and it is transiting 8th house too. Sun is also going through the 8th now. Transit Jupiter in 10th sextile Moon and it will trine Venus soon. Venus won't turn direct until April 13! I am not an expert really. But isn't it OK sometimes to take action during retrograde, if you actually already planned that for a while? Like in your case, if the purchase is not an impulsive action? I'd rather not wait until mid April. Other good transits will be over by then. And regardless of astrology, I was planning to do it this month. IP: Logged |

If you have these supportive aspects, and it's something you've been planning ahead for some time, I'd say go for it. And good luck! My wish to purchase this art item was actually conceived at the beginning of Venus retrograde, but it's something I've seen a long time ago. Suddenly I wish to buy it. So I may as well wait a while. Because while the item itself is well known to me, the wish to buy it is new.IP: Logged |
