Diligently read and study every day and night. Take GOOD notes. Re-review notes. Make comparisons, put things in lamen's terms so that you could explain things easily to a child...Any information that is difficult to understand, commit yourself to the idea until you get it... Don't cram. Be prepared. IP: Logged |

I agree with Pluto-squared...the things that works best for me is taking notes and re-writing them, especially taking notes in class. It often takes a full term to process any of the information so...trust that you know it IP: Logged |

Astrologically, and normally, assuming you do the normal amount of work that you will do, the results is already known whether you pass the exams or not, so you're just playing out time. You either pass or you don't. Make sure you study.IP: Logged |

I agree with Quinnie, I write notes, then re-write them. Somehow this helps the information sink in. Just reading doesn't help me at all, as my head is capable of thinking of about 3 or 4 different subjects at once (subconsciously). Often I can picture the page I've written the notes on, and remember whereabouts on the page I wrote certain bits - it helps it bring it back to me during the exam.Trust yourself, and try to stay calm. Good luck!! Rachel ------------------ Where possible, give people a piece of your heart, not a piece of your mind. IP: Logged |

I hope its not to latebut, I find it helps to read your notes outloud then close your eyes and say the first line outloud. As your eyes are close visualize the word in the order it was writen in your notes. http://www.ehow.com/info_8169959_tips-memorizing.html Do this for the rest of the note. It saved me from my Biology elective and trust me there is a lot of memorization in Biology. ---------------------------------------- Capircorn Rising Gemini Sun, 5th House Aries Moon Mercury in Gemini Venus In Taurus

I never buy a book. I take meticulous notes, and the night before the test, I condense the notes into one page that I think is important, and I cram my brain out. It works for me.IP: Logged |

Ok -- My advice is:For every subject - first of all - THINK logically about the most important points/topics that were covered throughout the course. NOT everything has as much weight. If you are in a situation where you don't have much time left you really can't focus on absolutely *everything* - as you will simply get lost. Start with these main topics, once you've identified them! Useful tips in splitting the wheat from the chaff and identifying what is important and what is merely collateral: 1. Think about it this way... if someone who knows nothing about this subject asked you to tell them broadly what it is about - what are the main points you would mention? What makes this topic the topic it IS? 2. What parts of the course were more strongly emphasised by your teacher in class? Things that he/she particularly said you *must* know. 3. Try to put yourself in the shoes of a teacher. If you were marking someone else's exam and they neglected to mention X - Would you immediately feel like they should not pass this subject? If you would - then it's likely that X extremely important to know. ----------- For each of these main topics - I think it's a great idea to take your own notes and put the information in your own words - as others have suggested. It is much easier to remember this way! Don't just take notes as they come though. Try to put them in a context - as though you were writing a plan for an essay. They have to logically follow on from each other. Think about yourself - on the day of the exam. What would be helpful to you? What would jog your memory? These notes have to be such that - they help you instantly recall what you reading at the time. -------------- While reading something... don't skim over parts you don't understand. Try to really get what is being said.. rather than memorise it. Some people - read simply - to memorise. The thing is, if you don't actually understand it well enough to explain it to someone else--- then it's likely you will not remember it when exam time comes. -------- Make sure you get a good night's sleep the night before.. don't study into the wee house of the morning because you will be tired and your brain won't keep up. Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great!

Hey, I don't know if you've already taken your exams, but I always read chapters, highlight, and take notes. Then right before a test, I read through all the notes. I also read summarizes of chapters (usually at the very end of each one) before a test. It works for me! =DIP: Logged |
