Well in all fairness; I am not sure how it will work either. I already contribute and teach at Lexigram Magic. Goodnight all. ------------------ ~I remember, therefore I am immortal~LEXX ~The present time is theirs, but the future is mine.~Никола Тесла }><}}('>~ IP: Logged |

Randall, I think you will have more teachers once the forum is "on". People just don't (or can't ) commit to an idea but when they see the first posts in there, I'm sure more people will chime in to teach. I know I probably sound like I have a lot of time in my hands, but believe me, I don't. I only sleep 5hrs and because I'm not on US timezone it probably looks like I'm always on. My point: I have committed to teach but I'm busy too and can't foresee how often I will be able to. But I fully support the initiative and I will do anything to see it through. I believe on LL. And this is motivation enough for me. But many people wish to say "no" instead of a provisional "yes". It doesn't mean that they won't do it; they just can't commit until they see the final product. So, I think you should go ahead and open the Brown Owl School. The teachers will arrive soon afterwards and so will the students. I promise. hugzzzzzz, A IP: Logged |

I do not have the time on my hands either and it appears to some folks that I am here 24/7. Nope. I post betwixt my down times whenever I can. I rarely sleep more than a hour or so at a time due to pain and spasms. And post throughout the night and day just after meds for pain and spasm kick in. So my posting is rather random and it mostly depends on what my body and eyes will allow. Yes, make the school.....folks will come.

Whenever there is a person in authority, there will be a leader. By starting and running Lindaland, I am a leader by default. Whether I am a good leader or a bad one is relative to whom you ask. But that doesn't make people who agree with me followers. Many people here are leaders within their own right, and Lindaland has several clear leaders with the Mods. The diversity here is remarkable, and the fact that we usually gel despite opposing belief systems is even more remarkable. Sweet Peas was a great addition, and it was needed. The school didn't work before because of a number of reasons--the largest of which are that it simply wasn't the right time yet, traffic was low (our traffic is now insane, and a school will bring some of the shy Newflakes out and into posting...much like Personal Readings is starting to do), and it needs its own exclusive Forum. It will take a while to kick off, but eventually it will. As for as Astrology goes, it will not be a complete and structured school like one of our Mods has; we are just hoping to teach some core knowledge so Newflakes are not afraid to jump in on the convos in Astrology 2.0 without feeling self-conscious. But like the other Forums here, it will just be another extension of Linda. Yes, we have some slow Forums, but it's more about representing Linda's beliefs and being reflective of the totality of who she was rather than 36 other Astrology 2.0's! Anyone can teach, and the learning will be participatory and interactive. ------------------ "Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's okay though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation...so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type...I'm like, 'hey girl, magenta!' and she's like, 'oh, you mean purple!' and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, 'no - I want magenta!'" -John Mayer IP: Logged |
