I'm not sure if they are gp

but, "sort of... >.>; kind of..."

I'm incredibly addicted to Property Brothers and Love it or List it since coming to Canada...

The Scott brothers aren't just quirky and handsome, they're talented and kind... and it shows through~ I love how they handle things on that show...

In Love it or List it, they started airing Vancouver now, but the original are so different, I feel like either families out West are nicer, and the ones up here in the GTA are complete arsehats, or they've really changed editing tactics to make them appear easier to deal with.

idk...

but, I do like both sets of hosts the show has had. I've always been a sucker for design shows, not so much the flipping ones, but going back to Trading Spaces, and even Extreme Home Makeover... I could never get enough of those shows~

Sucker for /most/ fashion shows too... I just don't always like the contestants on these though... /blah

As for regular TV (errr... sitcoms?)

The show, Mr. D ~ it's sorta' absurd, but better than most sitcoms on today, I could see it catching on really well in the states, but I don't think it is aired there yet. They ought to though... there's not much besides Big Bang Theory/How I Met Your Mother on right now... but, they're not really like this show...

It's kinda' like Scrubs... if I had to compare it to something... yeah, Scrubsy... but instead of medical, it's academic setting. ^^;

with slightly uncomfortable or dark humour, it's not brainless humour, but there is some... idk... "derpiness" thrown in~ well timed though... (says a lot, since I don't like knucklehead humour on TV/film.) ~not since the age of Clueless, anyway... XP

so yeah - that's my list~ I saw this topic a few days ago, and meant to respond, but you know... -life-...

^^

You really like the Millionaire Matchmaker, T? I thought she was an Aries! lol I think she mentioned it once, but she could have been talking to one of her interns or whatever they are.. haha She has her own show too besides that one now... 2nd season, I think.

Have you seen Push Girls? ~ I'm not too into those reality shows that follow people around for long, especially when it is a group... lol (again, my taste have changed a lot over the years, I use to love The Real World on MTV) hah

Anyway, it's a pretty cool show

~ I use to love LOVE love watching My Gyspy Wedding, NOW THAT - THAaaaT is a GP

lol

what happened to it??? idk. u.u;

good topic~ <3 neway
"tc ya'll."

I loved Jersey Shore, but I haven't watched Snooki & Jwoww
I liked Jwoww, she's a total beast. Didn't like Mike...

I don't know if I have any "guilty pleasure" tv programs. Just things I like watchingggg. I like to watch Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, and The Amazing World of Gumball though. All seemingly 'random' cartoons. I like the sort of mature cartoons as well, like Bob's Burgers and American Dad/Family Guy.

I love Game of Thrones right now though!! We don't have the television stations on which it airs, so I'm renting dvds to watch with my bffsy.

MXC!! That was (old) funny. I somewhat keep up with Supernatural, and I watched all of BBC's Sherlock so far. I want to finish American Horror Story too.

I've viewed an anime or two as well. I'm watching Another, on recommendation of aforementioned bffsy. Lastly, Madoka Magica was really good despite a cutesy drawing style.

Not a lot of time for tv, but when I'm on my 10 minutes of lunch break or folding laundry while my little chica is with her dad, I put the boob tube on. I have caught Patti, and although she is harsh, her ability to cut through the crap with these guys is great.

She sent a gambler to an astrologer once. (this may be one of 3 episodes I've ever seen) He was very hesitant as he was told by an astrologer in the past that he was unlucky in love and would die alone. The astro she sent him to was cool. He kinda broke the stigma for the guy and he went on a date with a really cool and laid back chick.

I hate the part when she trashes the girls though. I think the whole concept is disgusting, but the fact that she says "get a tan, change your hair, change your makeup, change your clothes" is wrong. Those things don't make a person, but I guess they make a first impression. But what happens when they ARE dating the guy? They have to change into that fake person they pretended to be to land him? LAME.

Anyway, my guilty pleasure is HGTV. I love design shows. It's kind of sick. LOL. I love Cash & Cory and American Pickers, but I don't know if they are on that channel. DIY shows and upcycling shows are my favorites.

I can't find Moonshiners on the on-demand part of the channel you mentioned. I'll have to see when it's on and try to record it (the DVR messes up at times).

I'm also a fan of those design shows and the picker shows.

Ghani, I agree. Telling them to come to the mixer looking like Jersey ***** or hookers (pretty much!) is wrong. One girl was dressed in a stylish dress and looked a bit hipster and she told her to get rid of that frumpy dress and come back in a sexy, tight short mini-skirt or dress, with heels, and to dye & straighten her hair etc. as she says to many of them.

I think she's doing it for the show, but it's still not cool. & yes, once they are in a relationship and the other person sees that they don't normally dress like that, well.....

You can make a great first impression without looking like a ......*ahem*

Who wants a guy who wants his partner to dress that way all the time anyway?

Yeah, I saw that astrologer one. She brings up astrology here and there. Interesting that she's into it.

Her woman assistant looks a lot better this season than she did in previous ones though. It's clear she got a make-over of her own (along with her boyfriend or husband or whatever he is)....wonder if Patti had anything to do with that?

to this:

Those were the only two pics I could find of her.

She's actually quite pretty, without those obnoxious colored bangs to distract from her pretty face. I like it all auburn like it is this season.

Hoping some sort of show starring Bethanny Frankel comes back. Huge fan of hers. Sad that her and Jason are getting divorced. He was a good guy & she's a good person too. Just not a good match together, i guess.

....was just thinking how, many women (like us) can watch a show like that and not be influenced by it and laugh off much of it, but i'm not so sure about many younger females.

T,

It is an experience and maturity issue. Ten years ago I may have been influenced by those comments, nut not now.

Live and learn, right babe? My tastes in most things have matured also, so watching "guilty pleasures" is like a trip down memory lane. Cleansing and reflective.

It is wonderful to feel so beyond those feelings yet remember them enough to gibe guidance to my 19 year old sister.

Damn, i am so serious sometimes.

Of what is actively being aired on tv,The keeping up with the kardashians show is my guilty pleasure lol. Or the khloe lamar show. anything kardashian really. Thankfully, i tend to only watch it when there is nothing else I wanna watch. I don't really watch tv anymore, unless its Thursdays for vampire diaries. or when baseball season starts again. I have my on demand channels for the rare times I wanna watch a movie or documentary on it. The Internet for me, allows me to watch old shows (like from 04 and back) that I love, but aren't aired on tv anymore. YouTube is more like my tv lol. I cannot deal with actual tv anymore.

No, not too serious imo.

Actually I watch the Kardashians when nothing else is on.

Kim's a bimbo. I love how Kourtney is like this wholistic, organic, super mommy. The episode where Khloe had to call her out on her non-deoderant wearing, was funny (because she was breastfeeding and didnt not want to wear any during that time )

I like her and Khloe alot. They are more relateable and down to earth. Kim's a flake.

My sentiments exactly. Kim is just the pretty lil boring thing on the show. Her personality repulses me.yet In a way,i pity her too.. watching kourtney being supermom, and how protective she is of her kids, is really something i find admirable imo . Just look at how she gives birth LOL! Like a champ, desperate to hold her baby. Amazing. In general, i dont like kids, but my god do i adoreeee her son mason! I've never seen such an awesome child lol. Kourtney and khloe are my favs as well, for the same reasons you mentioned. Khloe is hilarious IMO.

You took the words outta my mouth.

Poor Kim. She is nice, for sure (Libra afterall), but where's her personality? She's kind of just ...... there...

btw, I think Kourney is a Virgo and Scott is a Gemini (two mutables). It's been interesting to see their relationship evolve. I actually think he's hilarious and you can tell his love has grown for her. They will stick together through the long haul, i think (i hope). Yeah, Mason is adorable.

There was something I was going to say about Kourtney and her wholistic mama ways, but I can't remember now. lol

Khloe and Llamar do seem like a great match too. I"m glad for her. Because you know who mama Kardashian favors Kim's her big money maker. Looks and acts just like her too.

Hope Rob can come into his own too. I actually teared up when they went to that family councelling session and saw how hurt he was deep down. Who came to his side? Khloe. And Kourney cried because she saw him crying and hurt.

The other two - Kim and Mom, just sat there like the shallow idiots they are.

Can't believe his own mom didnt come to his side. She sat right by Kim instead.

I started watching "Sister Wives" It's about a family in Utah that practices polygamy. Had to stop it pretty early on though, it made me sad.
Another one I get a pleasure out of watching is "Hoarders" I love seeing the transformation they undergo - both of their person and of their homes.
I was briefly into "Extreme Couponing" but it couldn't hold my interest for long.

The Kardashians are a guilty pleasure, I like khloe, we have the same sun/moon plus she's super blunt and goofy. Kourtney is a aries sun/Capricorn moon her widow's peak makes me think she's a aries rising.

yeah I watch the Kardashians sometimes. That kind of show, twice is enough for me when it comes to episodes. No more than that. haha

Yeah I mainly watch for Scot now. With Scot, it's like at least he's not fake about being fake...if that makes any sense. It's pretty entertaining.
