For those who give of themselves so unselfishly in helping others here, consider being a Mod.IP: Logged |

I add as much as I can, wherever I appear!, but my own life is just too shifty right now. I hope everyone understands. Also, I want to be more secure about computer-protection before I would ask to be a mod.You guys are AWESOME, and I appreciate your faithfulness and moderatings. EDIT-- If you saw what I wrote-- There wasn't a glitch! I didn't see that the pages continued beyond page 66 of that thread. Now I know what to look for...

Thanks Randall for standing up for free speech and clarifying the values of Linda Goodman and what this board is about, she sounds like a wonderful lady! IP: Logged |

yes, thank you :Randall: But i would love to know what free speech has to do with accuracy of well known and proven astro data like the birth data of members of the Royal British family? Don't you think accuracy is the key to astrology? I mean you claim that the sun conjuncts jupiter by 1 deg in a natal or that the sun squares venus in a natal? This would be plain wrong, totally misleading and not fair to beginners- you want to help beginners, so this would be no help. And Linda did want to help, didn't she? I don't think Linda Goodman would have allowed to claim that the sun squares venus in a natal- but yes, she would have approved different interpretations. If she did, she wouldn't have written books. Don't you think it's mixing up 2 totally different things? IP: Logged |

Yes although is very rare for people to post false information here but it did happen and when it does it should be corrected, Leeloo started a thread discussing this with Randall already suggesting that if false data is not corrected within a reasonable time that the thread be closed, I think that is a reasonable request that should be honored. yes, if it's clear that it is simply inaccurate- let's say like the birth date of Prince William - then it should be corrected- if not, the thread should be closed sometimes 2 birth data for a soap opera actress are available but i was not talking about cases like this one I don't think LL and his members should run the danger to gain the reputation to be ridiculous (hobby)-astrologers.

Also, i don't think it is sufficient to close the thread if the wrong data is not corrected- the wrong info needs to be removed. Otherwise people could think the thread was closed due to other reasons IP: Logged |

oh, i need to check then. thanks for answering i thought you only said that there should be a polite hint only- no word about re-moving plain false info before closing but if not, thanks a lot Randall IP: Logged |

sorry Randall, i can't find it http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/236935-7.html There is the last post of you but you said in Leeloo's thread that you find it reasonable. Is it that what you meant? IP: Logged |

This is the last sentence i can find from you in the closed thread "Mistakes happen, and certainly it's okay to respectfully correct technical inaccuracies when found." Were you referring to this one? IP: Logged |
