I'm filled with a kind of dread.
Don't have transportation (which could be good, or bad, depending??? debris destructions, floods, etc).

I'm strong, yes. But I'm frightened... with a kind of 'dread' ...
I've heard that it's important to get in touch with your feelings (those feelings) rather than hold them tight inside, because, they'll just come out and manifest in other ways.

Will be going through all this with NO 'personal' moral/emotional support .... other than the texts I receive from my Pearlty (and another long-distance couple, by text).

My cell phone does texts (no social internet service), but is behaving rather erratically this morning. Is an old cell too-- hope it holds up.

Pearlty, if I'm not responding... THAT's part of the problem.

I'm not on any kind of facebooks.

If power out is prolonged, and internet is down, and ... IF this computer breaks, then there's a chance I'll not be at LL (for who knows how long).

I might have to relocate if this building doesn't hold up, or gets too much water inside... We have carpeting throughout, and we 'already' have hidden mold problems from leaks when it rains strong here.
(People who are mold-sensitive have told me they can detect this in my apartment. I'm glad I've been able to tolerate it.)
The water marks on walls and ceiling almost look like 'art'... ha ha.
(repairs landlord/owners didn't do here, after storms-- they re-wet themselves, and the design morphs creatively! haha)

Hurricane Charlie was only a 6-hour storm.

The Irma storm right now is pushing further west?? Latest now says this one begins tomorrow evening now (they were saying TODAY, earlier news), to last through Monday, into Tuesday.

Some forecasters (just now) are saying it starts Sunday eve (instead of Saturday, yay), howls intensively until around Noon on Monday, then gradually will begin to lessen its fury through the day, to Tuesday.

I was house-sitting for someone who went on a vacation just-before Hurricane Charlie storm hit...
Sounded like I was on an airplane runway next to a jet airplane ready to take off, engines on full take-off roar.
This Hurricane Irma (they say) will go very slowly, with stronger winds for much MORE than 6 hours? hahahaha Will be Angel-Jets!!!!

I want to wish anyone in any kind of storm (fires, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, storms of all kinds) much Comfort.

May you find Kindness, Comfort, and Benefic Beings (Both heavenly, and, those angels in the flesh who compassionately help) where you are......

We're starting to feel the wind pick up speed here a bit. Sometimes big gusts can cause power outage, the stronger they get.

They are predicting tornados, power outages, as well as local floods and hurricane winds.
GULP!! ...
So hard to know exactly how/what to prep.
Once you're in it, there's no going back to cover anything you might have overlooked.

The flooding did not affect MY 'hood, but some 'hoods nearby.

The 'usual' flash flood events that have happened IN my hood, were FINE!! Whatever changes they have been making here, WORKED-- amazingly. They were on-top of the 'immediate' kinds of flooding that affected my own roads. My roommate even commented on that (he usually doesn't have that much to say).

Amazing and frightening event.
Our 'hood is cleaning up from tree limbs, and debris. A few trees look 'stripped' like tall toothpicks in my 'hood.

Some buildings are getting leak-attention right now... but the roof over my OWN head is intact.

POWER COMPANIES WERE SUPER-EFFICIENT AMAZING PEOPLE !!!!!

Power trucks arrived from many places in the USA, even crew from Quebec, CANADA!!!!! hurray!!

There were Black Hawk Helicopters kept in standby kept in hanger-shelter here.

When Hurricane Charlie had come through, community administrators in my and surrounding counties took assessment of the damages, and went to work a plan to PREVENT or minimize destruction.
Their efforts paid off well for its Citizens!!

Thanks to ALL who were 'holding space' in thoughts, prayers, and etheric vigils.

Personally, have some cleanup, sorting, and organizing to do.

Everyone being affected by floods and REMNANTS of Irma up north, we hope you have minimal damages.
