On my BOB MARLEY kick this evening. ☀️ Yeah, Mon! He's the ultimate Aquarian in my eyes. His warm smile & wild 'locs are so fitting for Sag Rising, too. Exodus 🎵 - Such a BANGER. My head and my arms really get to moving on this one! http://youtu.be/OSOqWgqwynQ No Woman, No Cry 🎵 - This song always captivates me instantly. Makes me sway! And feel things. http://youtu.be/r8RoUOW8ma0 Three Little Birds 🎵 - This one is pure SUNSHINE. ☀️ It helps you to smile through your tears and keep joy in your heart. A reminder that we will be OK! So touching. http://youtu.be/zaGUr6wzyT8 IP: Logged |

After Soul, Rock is my favorite genre of music. 🌟 Hard Bangers, Soft Ballads, 80s, 60s, Alternative, Glam, Classic, etc - I'm into it ALL. Gimme that unbridled passion babyyy! Who relates?! Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper 🎵 - This song evokes such deep emotion and is so heartfelt. As I stated in another thread, it's somewhat symbolic for my relationships with Scorpio ASC as "time after time"... we greatly captivate each other. http://youtu.be/2PqhOrgk11A Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd 🎵 - I never tire of this song! I love the guitar, the lyrics and the message from Mother to Son. 💜 http://youtu.be/sMmTkKz60W8 Freak On A Leash by Korn 🎵 - Reminds me of the TRL days durung my teens years!! Such nostalgic Millennial sh*t. 🤣 I was a fan of the Nu Metal Explosion of the late 90s/early 00s. And this song was HUGE. http://youtu.be/jRGrNDV2mKc My Immortal by Evanescence 🎵 - An emotional one for me. This song played the morning of a Loved One's funeral and has become synonymous with that day for me. It perfectly captures the essence of true love for another and the sacrifices that you make for them. 💜 The climax of this song is so EPIC and the lyrics tug at the soul. http://youtu.be/5anLPw0Efmo Secretly by Skunk Anansie 🎵 - I instantly fell in love with this one from the 'Cruel Intentions' soundtrack. Skin's voice is so powerful! 🙌 Her vocals SLAYED me to pieces on the bridge. http://youtu.be/OXQE3z3caQo Computer Blue by Prince 🎵 - One of the many songs that I stan from the 'Purple Rain' soundtrack. 💜 Prince is an artist that I majorly adore. Love how eclectic he was! http://youtu.be/bt0XdyBgSnE Zombie by The Cranberries 🎵 - This song is still sooo relevant! Hard-hitting and raw. Excellent video as well. 👌 Love it forever. http://youtu.be/6Ejga4kJUts Welcome To The Jungle by Guns N Roses 🎵 - Who TF doesn't like this?! A Loser, that's who. Lol. The energy & vibe of this band is sooo lit! 🔥 Headbanger joint. Fun to do at karaoke, too. http://youtu.be/o1tj2zJ2Wvg

On my Millennial kick tonight! Riding back down memory lane through the late 90's & early 00's. 💛 Such fun times these were. I was absolutely *obsessed* with Backstreet Boys & B2K - had them plastered ALL over my bedroom walls! Like a true psycho fan - or a "Stan" as Eminem would say. 🤣 Speaking of Eminem? His first (3) albums STAYED on repeat at my house. I was also a fan of legends like Aerosmith, Michael Jackson & Madonna who were still putting out awesome hits at that time. 💜 Loved Linkin Park. 🤘🏽 RIP to Chester. That "Takin' over for tha 99 & tha 2000!!" line from Juvenile NEVER gets old. 🔥🔥 Lil Kim was sooo much more talented than most female rappers today. 💯 I still love all of the colorful looks she had in her video below! Justin Timberlake was such a cutie back then! 😊 Love his solo albums. Britney was the Queen of TRL. 👑 That show was mega popular and I watched it every single day! Such diversity on that countdown. She had so many hits. Is anyone here something of an expert on 1980s pop and rock? There's a song I remember playing on the radio then, and I heard Dad singing it once while he was working on his car. It's not like I love it, it's just been driving me crazy to put a name to it and make the memories clearer. Of course there have been countless reboots and imitations since then (and probably was one itself) so it's a needle in the haystack, especially as the search engines are geared to promote certain singers which don't include most bands from the 1980s. I only want to struggle with describing it if someone here is likely to remember it as they frequently listen to songs from the 1980s. Thanks IP: Logged |

Thanks. I should say I'm not certain it's 1980s. But it was playing on the radio in the 1980s (a lot), both parents followed bands of the time, so it seems likely (but not definitive). I checked Don Henley and Bryan Adams as I thought it might be them, given the very vague recollection of the sound. It doesn't appear to be either one. I'm probably confusing lyrics and sounds from different singers of the time. Definitely a male singer, and if it was rock, it was of the softer kind. From what I remember of it, I associate the style with early 80s, though it was probably 1988 when I heard it. It had a verse that I don't remember, but then went into a repeating track that included "bed time." (As in about every line in the chorus started with this.) I believe the implications was that he was going to have sex with her. I think the repeat/chorus line included "can't get away" and "going to make her mine." Also something like "everything is easy." (That's even more vague in memory, but I'm about certain that he considered the situation "easy" and/or "all right" with him being confident being part of it.) IP: Logged |

@Pixie It could be "Girl Can't Help It" by Journey or "Still of the Night" by White Snake. 🎵🎵 IP: Logged |

It sounds closer to Journey.I've given up on it. The search engines want to just promote bands making them money now or give me lullabies for children. It's just one of those dime a dozen songs from the 80s. I'll resolve to not let it bother me anymore. It's not like remembering it would bring back my dad. IP: Logged |

Anyone else really love the movie The Outsiders? 🔥 It's so good! I watched it for the first time back in 8th Grade after reading the book in school. Myself and ALL of my female classmates were practically drooling over the 'Greaser' dudes (Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Thomas Howell, Matt Dillon) as we sat in Boy Crazy awe. 🤪🤣 This is one of many memorable scenes. Such manly badasses! 💪💪 Love it. http://youtu.be/lYQ1-WVfP9w And this song! OMG such a perfect fit for this film. Moves me every time I hear it. 🩷 Stevie Wonder sincerely has my heart. http://youtu.be/TDcMM2kNyJk
