Well, Jennifer Granholm has nothing to do with Mini-Sota but O'Bomber may take her off your hands and make her an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. She's his kind of canididate. Doesn't know the law and if she does, doesn't care what the law actually says. That's O'Bomber's ideal candidate for the Supreme Court. IP: Logged |

Bet you Coleman wouldn't vote for the legislation you were complaining about here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum26/HTML/000013.html Care to bet the clown Franken wouldn't vote for it either? IP: Logged |

In 2002 and 2003, pharmaceutical and insurance companies paid the DCI group over $200,000 to lobby on the Medicare prescription drug bill and reimportation. Additionally, in 2002, the Pharmaceutical Researchers and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) contributed $25,000 to Coleman’s soft-money Victory Committee. In 2003, Coleman came through for his friends at the DCI Group and Big Pharma by voting for a Medicare prescription drug bill that barred the re-importation of cheaper drugs from Canada. [Federal Election Commission; Star Tribune, 2/28/02; Federal Election Commission; Senate Office of Public Records, DCI Group 2003 Lobbying Reports; Vote 459, 11/25/03; In These Times, 1/5/04; New York Times, 2/3/04; The Hill, 11/19/03; NAACP Legislative Report Card, 2003-04] Note: See The DCI GroupSeptember 2002: PhRMA Contributed $25,000 To Pro-Coleman Soft Money Committee. On September 30, 2002, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America contributed $25,000 to the Coleman Victory Committee. In February 2002, the Star Tribune reported, "Last fall, the [Coleman] campaign and the Republican Senatorial Committee formed the Coleman Victory Committee, enabling Coleman to raise unregulated "soft-money" donations as well as traditional "hard-dollar" donations that are subject to federal limits." [Federal Election Commission; Star Tribune, 2/28/02] 2003: PhRMA Paid DCI To Lobby On Re-Importation. According to lobbying records filed with the Secretary of the Senate, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America paid the DCI Group $40,000 in 2003 to lobby the Senate, House of Representatives, White House and Department of Health and Human Services on "Drug Re-importation issues." [Senate Office of Public Records, DCI Group 2003 Lobbying Reports] Health Partners Paid DCI $180,000 To Lobby On Medicare/Medicaid Legislation. From 2001-2003, Health Partners paid the DCI Group $180,000 to lobby on Medicare and Medicaid legislation. [Senate Office of Public Records, DCI Group 2003 Lobbying Reports] Coleman Voted For Medicare Prescription Drug Bill Heavily Tilted Towards Drug Companies. In 2003, Coleman voted for HR 1, a Medicare reform plan that was larded with perks for private companies that were expected to increase the cost of Medicare and hurt seniors. The legislation made it illegal for Medicare bargain over price with drug companies, which was expected to add an additional $139 billion to corporate profits. Coleman also voted to block the re-importation of cheaper drugs from Canada that would have cut 30 to 70 percent off the cost. Yeah, but you failed to connect the dots. What in your article shows any support by Coleman for mandatory mental health screening for all Americans including children or a mandatory psychotropic drug regimine for anyone...including children? As for Jesse Ventura, a Governor, his official activities were confined to the state. Now, you want to send the idiot Prince of Clowns Franken to the US Senate to screw up all of America. If *one* person could screw up all of America all by their onesies, it would have been done by now C'mon jwhop, your disgruntled sour grapes are fermenting and starting to smell Those quotes above about Norm-financiers just show who he hangs around with (and is supported by, and will be expected to toe their line since he took their money). Just illustrating a trend IP: Logged |

Don't forget, the best wine is made with "sour grapes". As for screwing up America, O'Bomber is making a hard run at that job. The Franken clown will make that an easier job. If you insist on establishing a quid pro quo between drug companies and those to whom they give campaign contributions...errr bribes; then let me point you towards some real bribers and the bribed. The UAW gave O'Bomber millions in campaign contributions. O'Bomber just gave the UAW 55% of Chrysler. How's that for a quid pro quo?

I would say that Coconut Road investigation is going nowhere fast...though, I think it should be investigated. However, since democrats passed an 870 BILLION DOLLAR Porkulus Bill with 9000 earmarks with only 3 Republican votes...it would be embarrassing in the extreme to open that can of worms called "earmarks".
