So, all the finger pointing, whining, screeching and shrieking by O'Bomber about Bush has done nothing but lower O'Bomber's job approval ratings and give a big boost to Bush. December 09, 2009 Categories:Polls.Bush closes the gap Public Policy Polling: Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama's declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they'd rather have his predecessor. Given the horrendous approval ratings Bush showed during his final term that's somewhat of a surprise and an indication that voters are increasingly placing the blame on Obama for the country's difficulties instead of giving him space because of the tough situation he inherited. The closeness in the Obama/Bush numbers also has implications for the 2010 elections. Using the Bush card may not be particularly effective for Democrats anymore, which is good news generally for Republicans and especially ones like Rob Portman who are running for office and have close ties to the former President. http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1209/Bush_closes_the_gap.html IP: Logged |

there's a great televised poll on the internet showing a bunch of people who voted in the last election...none of whom knew who nancy pelosi is or a host of other people in the game in DC. have we arrived at the point where the popular vote is worse than useless? "how people vote decides nothing. who counts the votes decides everything" - j stalin. "don't follow leaders" g harrison(?) and your screeching (and the fox contingent's) about obama's being to blame for the situation he inherited is partly to blame too. unfortunately the continued abusively-delivered rantings of hannity, riley, beck, limbaugh etc have hit their mark...the easily led and the easily disgruntled will blame anyone if you throw enough dirt at them. and when has obama screeched about bush? i seem to have missed that...? O'Bomber never misses an opportunity to bash the Bush administration.Lucky for O'Bomber that Bush is not the type to lash out because if he were, he would have nuked the whining, thumb-sucking screecher O'Bomber long before now. Cheney and Rumsfeld are a different matter however. Rumsfeld already called O'Bomber out for his remark that military commanders on the ground in Afghanistan had not gotten the troops or military equipment they requested "during the last administration". Everything O'Bomber has done has made matters worse...economy wise and foreign policy wise. He's an economic and foreign policy dunce of the first order and Americans are catching on to the facts quite rapidly that O'Bomber is an empty suit who is totally unqualified to be President of the United States. All except for the O'Bomber Kool-Aid drinkers and they probably never got anything right in their lives.
