Yeah, one of the major healthcare providers in my state are trying to raises rates something like 40% despite earning a billion per month in profit last quarter. Clearly it's tough for them. IP: Logged |

One of the big five said the other day in a press release...paraphrase... the reason they had a 34% hike [again!] was that many of the younger clients had dropped coverage, now the base is older and sicker and not offset by the younger group. [which can no longer afford coverage]IP: Logged |

I heard the exact same thing in the report where the insurance company in question had made a billion a month in profit in the last quarter.IP: Logged |

nad meanwhile denying care to sick individuals WITH coverage and considering each claim a loss and each denial a profit, wich they earn bonuses on. i would not want to have to answer for that. they are racateers and theifs. i wish they would do away with the whole bunch and go to a system like the uk has. let thier ***** be the ones laid off looking for work. 47 percent in michigan. the highest rate hike in the country to the poorest state in the country, good job shanksters.
