I saw this. Six points on a scale well known for accuracy problems isn't really noteworthy. (Even if a large difference was noted in any fashion I couldn't help but wonder if it said more about those conducting the study than it said about society.)Even some atheists are unimpressed by it: http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2010/02/stop_patting_yourselves_on_the.php IP: Logged |

Lots of people are acting like this study is significant. So yeah, I thought you were serious. Remember, there's no voice tones or body language to read over the net to detect snark & tongue in cheek comments. ![](http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/winkgrin.gif) IP: Logged |

not to worry dervish, but i do think i have made it more than clear that i don't think "conservative" is synonymous with stupid. i learned that from a friend's father long ago, a brilliant neurosurgeon from the south who foresaw the interference insurance companies would cause in his practice...amongst other things. my father and he debated regularly the pros and cons of "progress" in politics...and the silly "dude" was supposed to emphasize the silliness of the whole thing!!
