The children and I would like to know if there is a place to send mail to those serving overseas who might not get mail? I thought you ladies would be the best to answer this question. Thanks so much! Absinthe PS ~ We were thinking something similar to what we did for Bear, with cards and the video, if that can be possible, I don't know how many people may have access to DVD players etc. ------------------ We cannot seek or attain health, wealth, learning, justice or kindness in general. Hi Amanda, I can check into it and let you know. We do have a friend that has another platoon leaving very soon. Also the squadron I worked for in Vilseck is set to deploy to Afghanistan in the very near future. I know many of the younger Soldiers are single and would love to receive anything at all. I can get a hold of one of our friends and find out if it is doable. Thank you so much for all that you do Big Hugs, Shawnee IP: Logged |

Hi Shawnee!!! Thanks for looking into it. When I talked to the children about it, they got very excited and were jumping up and down about it Then of course the youngest, joined in, just because everyone else was. Though she doesn't really jump yet, it's more of a stumble of sorts LOLCool. Let me know about what you find out! Hugs right back! Thanks for asking, Absinthe. I actually asked a soldier friend of mine and he recommended the following website: http://booksforsoldiers.com/ He made a request from there when he was deployed and said it was really nice to know that people he didn't even know cared enough to send him things he needed or wanted through that site.
