I'm a Gemini Riser. Yes, people have gone as far as calling me "shy" thanks to my oft quiet manner. I don't agree with that assessment. I tend to think shy people are socially awkward, or that they are self-conscious about talking. I'm not that way. I merely don't feel the need to talk as much as everyone else. I've been in an improvisational acting group for three years now, so that should give some understanding of my courage level when it comes to speaking.

That said, Aries can be quiet. It kind of depends on the person, though. Some Aries are as chatty as Virgos, and some are more reserved.

AG, thank you for your input. I go through stages. I jump from wanting to talk and communicate with people to a complete recluse and not wanting to talk for days. I keep my phone literally with me at all times and then switch it off if I don't feel like talking to anybody. My ideal form of communicating is the net. I read, I digest, I might reply or I might not. When it comes speaking in public, I can do it but I hate doing it.
I admire you being the part of your improvisation group, but I would never do anything like that, cos I'd get STUCK! LOL!

I also hate loud sound, it freaks me out.

Hating loud sounds doesn't sound Aries at all. I also hate loudness for the most part. One of the things I want to cure my roommate of is her tendency towards late night laundry as the laundry area is pretty close to both of our bedroom doors (we live in a condo).

Part of my quiet nature is my having Saturn opposite Mercury. Saturn disciplines the communication; makes it sparse.

I can be very quiet, whether it's out of shyness/awkwardness, or because I'm just not feeling so bubbly/energetic. I went through a few years, where I spent most of my time alone (25 to 27) - I had to adjust to having people around again, when circumstances changed, and I was suddenly surrounded by people.

If I'm comfortable with you, or just in a very, very good mood, then watch out. I can talk a lot. Aries + Gem Moon/Venus, here.

Re: loudness. I don't appreciate it in the same room as me (like a blaring television) when I'm trying to sleep. If I can shut a certain amount of it out, then I'm generally okay. The washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher can all send me to sleep. I'm a light sleeper, though, so I'm used to waking up so many times, and I really appreciate getting a full night's sleep when it happens.

I occasionally like my music to be loud, and will turn up the TV to a certain point, but I've grown used to keeping things at a certain level, in an effort to not wake others up. It gets on my nerves if it's ongoing. I've found myself cringing when a member of my family turns the TV up really loud; but, I'm feeling more sensitive in general.

*edit. I have a wide square between Mercury and Saturn. My Cappy sister doesn't like loud noise (that often), and she also seems to hear every little thing when she's trying to sleep. I feel guilty when we're under the same roof, because she wears ear plugs to bed. (I can't stand ear plugs.)

(Sorry for butting into your conversation.)

It's quite alright.

I'm starting to think that you're the Aries that changed her name a few times years ago. Is that you? If so, I didn't think we had that rocky a time.

Correction: I love playing loud music while driving my car, blasting away. But I HATE somebody else's loud music! It's like they are pushing it on me and I can't stand been pushed! I am too much of a pusher myself!

Teasel. She said something about, "Given our history..." and supposed I might have been being snarky with her or something a while back. I can't remember the history of which she speaks, so I'm left wondering.

I'm confused all over again it seems... I thought that LLC2 was a general discussion gathering-place where you can talk about anything you like; make new friends, lend support, share inspirational stories, and recommend any interesting sites that you come across. However, just taking a look at the thread titles today it seems to be the Health and Healing section.

Did something change? Is LLC2 now the Health and Healing section? Or is spreading posts all over the wrong section the new black?

Should we start posting Godzala threads all through the Health and Healing section? Howzabout some astrology threads through Global Unity?

LOL! Musette. Well unfortunately LLC2 kinda falls under the jurisdiction ideals of the first Ammendment minus anything way too outrageous for a family friendly forum .

You know I am guessing its the side effect of an all vegan diet; People end up becomming green heads with nothing but Vegitables on the brain .

Musette...what genius!!!

You should be made President of the USA....no, no, no President of the World...no, no, no President of Lindaland!!!!!! We cannot let your leadership qualities fall through the thread cracks!!!!

Remember, we need to keep a sense of decorum in LLC, and that I will uphold as your right-hand Knowflake:

** no swearing

** do not wear bogan clothes whilst posting

** do not mention the word 'penis'

** no stupid advice that could lead to an untimely death

Anyway, your absence has been sorely missed

musette i actually suggested those threads belonged in H&H earlier today...however "anything" does include everything i guess...xodian has a point too, though i think a lot of the reason they are in LLC2 is because they are not just about health but politics, in the health field at least, and about saving the world...!!

regarding signs loud and quiet, my mother was an aries and very quiet. however she could kill you with a look or a word (and not just her kids!)so the quietness was a little misleading!! i know plenty of cappies who people mistake for shy...yet when you get them talking they are anything but. economical with words and great observers explains their quietness better i think...eh acoustic?

starkiss you could be both!! pisces rising could easily have aries on the third house, and THAT would account for your shimmering presence here, your love of loud music in the car, and your insistence that you are a genius, all in one...

oh and about the GENIUS thing i fink you misspelled the word, it is GENUS. you are definitely one of those...thingameboobs.

Koi, I'm totally up for being President, but I'm totally not up for any decorum, especially as it would probably require wearing pants.

Should I decide that decorum isn't too boorish, we'd have to at least make an addendum that bogan clothing is unacceptable whilst posting, but booner clothing is totally okay. Yahoo for Iron Maiden t-shirts! But booner hair? No! No mullets! I believe CPN has already spoken on this point and we should uphold her hair laws.

I see what you did there! Well played, Koi, well played. You thought I would just skim over and assume you meant my presence has been missed. Well it's a good thing I'm back to keep an eye on your trickiness!

Kat, great minds think alike! I think there may be a cabinet position for you in the new LindaLand Party with me & Koi.

And where are the threads about saving the world? I have an awesome caped costume for just the occasion!

Kat..... what a genus!!!! You are correct - I must not miss spell words when posting. It's not gude manners.

Musette - hmmm..... I'm no genus and often type foughpars here in LL (bangs head with hand)...

I really thought I missed your absence, but I really did miss your presence....hmmm, but if I missed your presence then I wouldn't know you were there and then I would miss your absence when you were present, so it's best that I miss your absence, reinforcing why I should be your right-hand Knowflake - to cover your absence even if you're present.

Yep, I think we've got that one covered
