but he is elected by the party, not the population at large, is he? like in england? where the party leader(pm) can stand down and let another person take the job (queen agreeing of course, as a formality) without a single vote from the public...or do your pms have finite terms like our presidents...except there's no limit...and come or go at general elections? Another...as she says "early 20th century 'Progressive'"...just like O'Bomber.Palin is an authentic American, with American values based on Constitutional principles of government...and not at all interested in establishing a Socialist gulag in the United States. Leftist press releases state O'Bomber is the most intelligent president to ever occupy the White House.Yet, in every dustup with Sarah Palin, O'Bomber gets carved up like a Thanksgiving Turkey.  Hillary is much like O'Bomber; all fluff and no substance..an empty pants suit. What makes you think Hillary would fare any better with Sarah Palin?  IP: Logged |

I don't know much about politics, but from
what I saw during the last presidential campaign, Sarah looked foolish, not literally but she came across as an airhead,

there haven't BEEN any dustups except in your mind jwhop, and those of a few other people who think that her acquiring a few dollars for individual alaskans for the oil rights there amounts to a coup d'etat...she is a cheerleader who has moved on from the football field to the national politics arena. photogenic perhaps but a quitter when it comes down to the line. you want to caricature the president, go right ahead. when sarah gets to washington it is NOT going to be MRS deeds comes to town or destry rides again. it is going to be fantasy meets reality and knocks it over the head. but maybe levi will come to her aid if she agrees to have him in the family. how'll that work out for her d'ye think? katatonic, you are grossly uniformed.The first thing out of the O'Bomber campaign when Palin was nominated was that McCain had chosen a small town mayor from Alaska. Palin put O'Bomber in his place during her acceptance speech...paraphrasing: "I guess a mayor is kind of like a "community organizer" with real responsibility." Later, Palin ripped O'Bomber for his phony staging of his own acceptance speech... "This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting and never use the word "victory," except when he's talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed, when the roar of the crowd fades away, when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot... When that happens, what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet?" And then, Palin sent O'Bomber into panic mode when she started talking about O'Bomber's Death Panel in the Socialist Health Care Bill...and many other instances where O'Bomber got his butt kicked. It all started with the obvious insult of O'Bomber saying McCain chose a small town mayor from Alaska and Palin hasn't let up on O'Bomber since. At every turn, Palin makes O'Bomber look utterly foolish...which he is. I recall Palin remarking on O'Bomber's hand wringing and dithering over sending additional troops to Afghanistan...troops his hand picked General requested and O'Bomber stiffed him by sending less...25% less than his own General required to do the job O'Bomber assigned him to do. On drilling in the Gulf and O'Bomber's 6 month halt, Palin ripped O'Bomber for that too...and rightly so. So katatonic, either you've been totally asleep or you're just being disingenious. You would be much better informed if you merely bothered to read what's posted on this forum...rather than getting your news from the usual suspects on the left.
