i didn't say any republican members of congress or the dc conglomerate called him a muslim. however his being a muslim has been a talking point for conservative pundits and their Followers pretty consistently. limbaugh's last attempt to paint him muslim was at the end of july when he tried to make some weird connection between the debt ceiling deadline, ramadan and obama's birthday. a long stretch even for him, but he went there without shame...coulter has made a big deal of how he "can't be" christian too. and you have no problem with this attack from what i can see. personally i don't care if obama were a sufi, nor if romney is a mormon, though mormons have DELIBERATELY kept themselves on the fringes of american society since their inception, which would kind of queer the idea of one RUNNING that society, wouldn't it? kind of like a secessionist running for head of state, really... I knew you wouldn't be able to find any of the individuals I named calling O'Bomber a Muslim...and you couldn't."personally i don't care if obama were a sufi, nor if romney is a mormon, though mormons have DELIBERATELY kept themselves on the fringes of american society since their inception, which would kind of queer the idea of one RUNNING that society, wouldn't it? kind of like a secessionist running for head of state, really..."..katatonic More accusations you can't prove katatonic? Who's the secessionist running for President? As for the rest of your drivel, none of that would be any more unusual...if it were true...which it isn't...than a Marxist Socialist Progressive radical installed in the office of President of a Capitalist, center right nation...which IS true. jwhop i am not in distracted by your ducking and dodging. i said that you had no objections to people calling obama a muslim and you said you didn't remember any such thing. moving the goal post doesn't change my original statement or your denial, and i named a couple of people who have done just that. the fact that they are not in congress has nothing to do with the original point!i repeat your selective memory blocks are ultra convenient but they don't change what was said! as to obama being a socialist you should ask a real socialist what they think of obama...and they will tell you he is more CORPORATIST than socialist! however he has one feather in his cap no republicans do, in terms of leftists voting for him...he will be expected to appoint someone LESS conservative to the supreme court after reelection, while a romney would tilt the balance even further to the corporations. though neither of his appointees is particularly LEFTIST, at least they are not extreme conservatives. @juni, yes, i guess sufi was a bad example, just saying i really don't care what a person's religion is ...and i THOUGHT religious freedom was one of the basic tenets of this country. however the mormons are an all american splinter-group who don't consider themselves bound to our cultural norms. sufis tend to be immigrants who have brought their religion with them. more and more i foresee the USA devolving into a bunch of states, a longer running failure than europe, but going the same way fast. “When we came into the nation in 1845, we were a republic, we were a stand-alone nation,” the governor can be heard saying. “And one of the deals was, we can leave anytime we want. So we’re kind of thinking about that again.” - rick perryIP: Logged |

In reference to Jwhop's first post, Obama has actually exceeded my expectations. I had no idea he could have been so destructive. Clinton was just a whimsical embarrassment. But Obama has done some real damage to the country. I'm going to celebrate when he is ousted. ------------------ "To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing." Aristotle IP: Logged | |
