New unconstitutional Authorities the IRS is trying to acquire:The collection agency for the Federal Reserve known as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is working with legislators to gain control over the rights of Americans. Without the right to due process, the IRS can simply claim a citizen owes $50,000 dollars or more to their illegal operation. This accusation alone will give their agency the right to revoke American’s travel rights and even remove the right to own a firearm. With the help of Representatives like Barbara Boxer of California, a bill rapidly working through Capitol Hill (passed through the Senate and is currently up for review in the House) will give the IRS power to: 1. Accuse Americans of delinquency of tax payment WITHOUT DUE PROCESS 2. Revoke their PASSPORTS and TRAVEL RIGHTS 3. Place the accused in a centralize database
4. Authorize the removal of their right to own a firearm

haven't had time to read it yet, juni...my connection is mainly in the library at the moment (computer got a nasty virus) so time is limited to say the least..but at least it is still free (the connection AND the library) which i hear is another service under fire from the small government fans..have to say that i agree with aquacheeky, our right is too right and our left too left. we have to stop trying to "get our way" and start electing congress folk who are willing to sit in the middle - ie where MOST americans actually reside. however i heard rumours about the attempt to keep us on "house arrest" if we owed taxes several years ago now. i repeat, rumours, and from someone who is 110% into the PrisonPlanet scenario..which i am not, though it's understandable some would see it that way! Yep I quickly read the bill and couldn`t see a connection to firearms. Unless is is by association with whatever charge the irs levies. ------------------

Bill Gives The IRS Power To: Authorize The Removal Of The Right To Own A Firearm
Since that was the blogs fearmongering headline, I suggest that is all the writer had to entice like minded readers.

I also didn't like the headline myself but found the information overall good but you are right the 2nd amendment part of it is a speculation for now but the other points are not and are indeed unconstitutional. IP: Logged |

I deem the IRS unconstitutional so all they do falls into the unconstitutional catagory  ------------------

You don't understand that seriousness of this...if the IRS decides you owe them $50,000 they revoke your passport and all this without due process, just bc they suspect it so they can abuse this power if this bill gets passed. The IRS can't do anything without an assessment. This would just extend what they can do once you are assessed. But they are pretty much organized crime as it is. The enforcement field agents carry guns when they are forbidden to do so (unless investigating alcohol and cigs). ------------------
