I personally have no problem with Randall, he is certainly diplomatic and the ideal of what a mod on this site SHOULD be, my sole beef with him is that he seems to be a very poor assessor of what makes someone a good selection for a mod. Either that or he's too much of a p***** to ask someone to step down as mod when he knows they're doing a bad job of it.

Node, I did not wish for NJ to leave. That was her choice. Aquacheeka, your constant racist accusations only show how anti-White you appear to be...which makes you appear to be racist. I hope that's not the case. Either way, I expect things like race, sex, religion, and ethnicity to be a non-issue in the debates here.

Randall, in your opinion, this is NOT a "racist insinuation"?

Looks like someone's lack of objectivity is showing.

I have heard the term "anti-white" used before. Interestingly, the last time I heard such a term, it was being used by a self-declared "white nationalist."

People racist towards whites are not "anti-white." They're just plain racist. I wonder why he would use THAT particular phrase?
Also kind of wondering why he would feel the need to capitalize "white." That's very interesting to me. It's just semantics but also common practise among white nationalist sympathizers, as I imagine the capitalization of "Black" is among black nationalists.

Ami does a great job as a Mod in my view. She makes errors of judgment like anyone else. But you, Aquacheeka, as a member, are now pushing your luck. You have walked a fine line here for some time; be mindful not to cross it. I expect race not to figure into the equation here, and your constant accusations that members of my party are racist are absurd.

I have used links, Randall, wherein Republicans themselves are polled on their attitudes. Am I to understand that you don't like evidence?

You might as well come right out and say it: Don't post links if they make "my party" look bad, or your "membership is threatened."

The word exotic is racist? I don't see that corrrelation. What I do see as racist is you calling an entire party racists. I don't know any racists or sexists out of the hundreds of Republicans I personally know. I take great offense at that. Race or sex doesn't belong among these debates.

Reporting from Washington — After years of battling false claims and viral emails alleging that he is a Muslim, President Obama hasn’t gotten far among Republican voters in Alabama and Mississippi – about half still believe he is Muslim and about 1 in 4 believes his parents’ interracial marriage should have been illegal, a new poll shows. A few states, including Alabama, kept the laws even though they could no longer be enforced. Alabama finally repealed its law in 2000 through a public referendum, though 40% of the electorate voted in favor of keeping interracial marriage illegal.

The PPP poll released Monday showed some changes, with 67% of Alabama Republicans saying they believe interracial marriage should be legal, though 21% said it still should be against the law. In Mississippi, 54% said it should be allowed, while 29% said it should remain illegal.

The preferred Republican candidate of those opposed to interracial marriage? Newt Gingrich. In Mississippi, Gingrich led Romney among that group 40% to 27%, and held a 38%-27% advantage in Alabama.

The PPP poll used automated telephone interviews on March 10-11 to survey 1,256 likely Republican voters in Mississippi and Alabama. Such surveys are not considered as reliable as live interviews because they are automated and cannot make use of mobile telephone numbers. The poll sampling error for Mississippi is 3.8% and for Alabama is 4%. http://articles.latimes.com/2012/mar/12/news/la-pn-poll-obamas-a-muslim-to-many-gop-voters-in-alabama-mississippi-20120312[/QUOTE]

I didn't conduct the polls. I'm just posting the article.

Haven't read any links. No problem with posting them. As I said, I don't know any racists in either party (most of my family are liberal), and I gather that they are a minority presence in both.

The persistent GOP racism is a concern to me of course, but the larger concern that I am calling attention to is the blatant GOP ignorance. They will believe literally anything that Fox News puts in front of them. This makes me laugh.

As for Ami, I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt... you might want to remind her that sarcasm doesn't translate over the internet.

Let's get this string back on the topic of whether or not Obama is a naturalized citizen...not on racism or hating on one of my Mods. Thank you.

Oh, and for the sex comment about Ami, consider this a warning. It insulted me as well, and that type of defamation will not be allowed here. Of course, I'm sure your cheerleader Node had no problem with it. The next time you call someone a prostitute here will be your last comment.

I doubt I'd have to wait that long. I simply have to post another "unflattering" and thus "insulting" article about the Republican party. Oh, the objectivity.

No one cares about any articles against conservatives (whom are the majority in the US). Just keep race, sex, ethnicity, and insults that cross the line out of your commentary.

OK. In the future when someone say yes, they don't trust someone because of the way they look immediately after making comments about affirmative action and being born in Kenya I will assume they are a humanitarian instead.

Kind of ironic given that my last comment was, in fact, sarcastic. I guess that one went over your head because it wasn't coming from a Republican.

Just to repeat WHO I am

I am so not a racist or not an anything. I am as close to color blind or gender blind as it comes. I don't see gay, black, white or anything. I see a person with a heart and most especially a person who needs God. That is who I am and it is as simple as that.

I think it is obvious that Obama was born in Kenya.

I didn't get around to questioning this myself earlier, but there's no sense to that statement. I saw that Kat asked, and I thought that would be enough. This one, of course, isn't racist at all.

quote:
So, either way he lied for the book and /or to get into school or he lied to the people of the USA to be President. There is no in between, Liberals :angels:

These aren't the only possibilities. It could have been written without his supervision or knowledge as the person who wrote it said it was.

quote:
yes, the way he looks.

This is as strange a statement as the statement that it's obvious. You'd have to know that all Kenyan's look like Obama in order to think Obama's obviously from there. Black people inhabit quite a bit of the world these days. To assume Kenya based on genes from parents of two different races is spectacularly bizarre. I can't even bring myself to agree that it's racist, because it's just too far out.

I guess this warrants a Faces of Kenya montage, so that we all might understand what a stereotypical Kenyan looks like. http://kirtsy.com/2011/08/11/beautiful-faces-of-kenya-curated-by-karen-walrond/?kp=YToxOntzOjE6ImkiO2k6MTE4NDt9 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPCmJAIT7ew http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgGwRilHa2s
I see some similarities, but I don't think Obama's as dark as they are. I would have to say that it appears more obvious that he came from a piano:

ami had almost directly quoted rush from his show this morning...the "exotic" and affirmative action slant is straight out of his mouth.

the further explanation was not verbatim, but summed up his conclusions nicely.

ami may NOT be a racist, but that probably depends on whether rush defines himself as one.

he claims not, but then spends half his air time trying to scare his listeners about how racist all the black, foreign and gay folk out there are. hmmm...

conclusion;;; rush doesn't care about the colour of THEIR skin but he needs you to be VERY AFRAID that they care about the colour of YOURS (if you're white).

You keep listening to Rush, Kat, and you will finally see the light. I used to watch the Rush tv show to make fun of him. Finally, I could no longer ignore the mountain of facts he presented right out of the mouth of President Clinton himself in video. I had assumed global warming was true and all of the other liberal nonsense. But thanks to Rush, I began to question and to think independently. We will gladly accept you on our side, Kat. Just keep listening to Rush. "Rush is right" should be your daily mantra.
