A possible source of the so-called "birther" issue--or at least a potential cause of the rumors that have dogged President Barack Obama--has been identified.

Obama's former literary agency misidentified his birthplace as Kenya while trying to promote the then-Harvard Law grad as an author in 1991.

According to a promotional booklet produced by the agency, Acton & Dystel, to showcase its roster of writers, Obama was "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."

In a follow-up post, Breitbart.com noted that Obama was listed as being born in Kenya on the Dyster & Goderich website until April 2007, "just two months after then-Senator Obama declared his campaign for the presidency."

That these issues appear 'unresolved' to some people is because Foxxy won't let them go away. I caught a few minutes of Hannity last night; interviewing on the birther issue and showing old Jeramiah Wright footage.

Makes me throw up in my mouth. That the knuckle dragging on certain issues, resolved issues, that are well past their sell by date is #1 boring.

Why can't the talking heads use real issues? there are certainly plenty of them. Maybe it is because they are popular with the extreme right. For instance Guantanamo Bay-- open for business. Unpopular on the left tho.

I asked my mother to take me to different denominations to get the feel of them and I read various texts. ended up going agnostic, presently I subscribe to atheist.

It's O'Bomber's lying about his religion...and his pastor of 20 years...the reverrrrrend Wright.

Also missing from your puff piece on O'Bomber is the fact O'Bomber's bio in that Acton & Dystel booklet was submitted to O'Bomber for corrections and alterations...and O'Bomber approved it as written.

So Node, did the "most intelligent president" ever to infest the White House fail to catch the (alleged) error? Or was that the persona he chose to adopt at the time?

I took a screenshot of this conversation . It's not everyday you get a blatant admission from a 'con that their mistrust of the president is racially-motivated. I think I will post it on my Facebook. I have a lot of Americans on my friends' list .

Also glad she said it because there goes any credibility from the rednecks on LL with respect to their political affiliations. Kind of hard to take your opinions as being genuinely about what you feel are the interests of the country when you admit that they're based on someone's looks/race!

I wonder what kind of cheap rate Ami is charging him for her sex work that he allows this kind of crap from a moderator. It's blatantly inappropriate and shows poor judgment. I am not always PC so that is why I don't nominate myself for moderator despite being on here enough to justify it. If Ami had a modicum of dignity and self-awareness she would step down as she makes the site look bad, being a racist with crap grammar. If Randall had good judgment he would know when his moderators are poorly suited for the job. He's got one moderator picking fights with and insulting people, and another who can't spell and is constantly making bigoted insinuations.
