You are caught up on the word empire. I am not. That you didn't understand its context is not a defect of mine, but a defect of yours. Clearly, there are and have been businesses deemed empires, and clearly I later specified that I was referring to business.

This is your typical smoke and mirrors treatment to get around going head to head with the true facts as they've been laid out to you. You don't want to acknowledge that business doesn't not occur in a single person void. That is the ONLY issue here.

I would never be so inarticulate..or definitions challenged as to call a mom and pop "business" an "empire"...or even a medium sized "business" an "empire" either.

I can use whatever word I like. When we're talking about a business magnate, I can use the word "empire" to describe his/her business. There is no "should have". My wording was fine by any rationale.

Who said I was referring to a mom-and-pop business or a medium-sized business? You're extrapolating illogically, which is no cause for smugness. Maybe you should get yourself tested.

Yes, I did post his speech, and, yes, SOME of us understand it. You do not.

You can't talk about someone changing the subject when you JUST got through trying to make the conversation about the word "empire." THAT is an attempt to change the subject. You couldn't get past my comment about a single person building a business in a void.

If Obama is a plagiarist, then so are you. You're constantly parroting other people's ideas here.

Elizabeth Warren's point was the same:

"You built a factory out there? Good for you," she says. obama did not use warren's words. THAT is plagiarism, unless done with PERMISSION. paraphrasing an idea is quite another matter.
