In the news now: Iran to halt 20-pct uranium enrichment IF...: Iran's permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency Ali Asghar Soltanieh said Iran has offered to stop enriching uranium to a purity level of 20 percent if the West lifts sanctions against Tehran. Soltanieh said the offer was made in a meeting between Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili and European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton in Istanbul earlier in September. "We are prepared to suspend enrichment to 20 percent, provided that we find a reciprocal step compatible with it," Soltanieh was quoted as saying. --------------------------------------------- Looks like the sanctions are working Peaceful ways always work. Gandhian methods always work. Time for the Israeli electorate to dump the lunatic Bibi and vote in any astute Statesman to seal the deals with Iran, and put the speculations of WW3 at rest. Really doommlord, Israel doesn't choose their own leaders now?Pray tell, who chooses Israel's leaders now, the Martians? Oh, and I wouldn't get too carried away with the Iranian supposed offer to suspend Uranium enrichment. We've seen this negotiating delaying ploy before..while they go right on enriching Uranium. well if you watched the last elections here you would have seen how another candidate won but got kicked out becuse bibi made an agreement with another party and the religious parties....thus getting the seat without ACTUALLY getting a majority and learn how to speak to others with respect...i have not disrespected you and you have no right to disrespect me IP: Logged |

Coalition governments are common doommlord. You know it and I know it. They're common all over the world. So why are you making a big deal over it in Israel? Your guy lost? Now, be honest. Which party had the MOST VOTES? Even if it wasn't enough votes to control the government of Israel outright. IP: Logged |

20 years is a loooooong time to achieve enrichment India and Pakistan wrapped it up so much faster. Iran may have brilliant engineers but they just do not have the right equipment to compete in making effective nukes. And now with the full glare of inspectors, it would be impossible. I would believe the Iranians anyday over Al-Qaeda sponsors. So those who do not like to believe Iran, how many Iranians took part in 9-11? And how many Saudis? Why is the cranky leader of Iran allowed to speak in USA? It is because the entire US defense establishment knows that he will not dare to attack US Interests. Those who oppose Iran are the ones really deluding themselves. A Shia Nation which will soon have 60% of population under 30 will not risk its future in attacking a Nation as competent and powerful as Israel. IP: Logged |
