No preparation. No teleprompters. No flash cards. No stuttering. No time to think. Mano a Mano slugfest. A battle of brainpower. This is going to be very interesting. The fat lady hasn't sung. At this point, Michael Dukakis. had a 17 point lead in the polls, and over 20 points in swing states. Romney is no Reagan. But Carter had a huge land slide lead over Reagan until the debates. There she goes again! shura, you're a non-engaged disengager, a contradiction seemingly against all solutions. I say "seemingly" because I don't and can't believe that. Yes, we may all be deluded fools so enlighten us. You already know my solution includes imprisoning all the conspiratorial ba$tards for life, which you reject in favor of exile. So shura, what's your solution for getting America back on the right track; the track you can believe in again?

Gary Johnson almost makes me forgive the LP for running Bob Barr in 2008 (as I said at the time, Obama was more libertarian than Barr, and given the damage control the LP had to do for "drafting" him I know I'm not alone in thinking that). I supported Johnson back when he was a Republican (when I said there were a handful of Republicans I liked a lot he was one of those I was thinking of), though he was so liberal in some areas (like wanting to decriminalize drugs, especially marijuana) that even many Democrats in New Mexico (who tend to be pretty conservative) couldn't stand it. I don't agree with all his positions, but I do most of them (or at least consider them better than the mainstream positions) and I'd be happy voting for him. But he doesn't stand even a snowball's chance in hell of winning. America desperately needs Instant-runoff voting and if we had it then he'd be my number 1 choice in 2012. But of course that would serve the people over the elites and make it harder for the USA to have "the best democracy money can buy" so it won't happen. I once helped gather signatures to get this choice to be offered to voters on the state level (as happened in many other states) but the media (owned by those who really don't want this and who also own both major parties) refused to even acknowledge our existence. Wouldn't want an informed electorate after all, just an easily manipulated one. IP: Logged |

Didn't say he was libertarian, just that he was closer to it than Barr. But yeah, Obama is more libertarian than all those examples you listed. Bob Barr is as well. IP: Logged |

demoscats have an Excedrin headache this morning...or as some would say, they have..."The After Debate Blues". Thanks for the Chris Matthews thing. Maybe, they will SEE O'Bomber is a freaking mannequin.O'Bomber is a cartoon character. He is a figment of people's imaginations. What they saw last night is the real O'Bomber--vapid, bitter and angry.

In one corner was Mike Tyson. The other was Pee Wee Herman. The referee should have stopped the fight halfway through the first round. The question is not how many Obama supporters now support Romney. Or how many swing voters were swayed. That is uninteresting. My question is, after last night, how many Romney supporters now support Obama. Or how many swing voters have decided that they are definitely not going to support Romney. I gather that the list is small. The dude was up against a Gemini. Real brainpower. Real practical experience. I agree with Michael Moore: "wake up, that's not John McCain over at the podium." Field a lightweight, and your party loses. Period. Another Michael Moore astute observation: whatcha gonna do? Get Clinton into the game? And Biden wants to take on Ryan?!? It'll be like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. IP: Logged |

I think what happened last night Ami is that for only the second time since O'Bomber became a candidate for president and then president, O'Bomber didn't get away with lying in his public statements. Romney corrected him time after time after time and showed he knew more about the issues, economy, trade, even foreign affairs than O'Bomber did. And, Romney was respectful but not deferential. I think Romney was prepared to tear O'Bomber's head off if he started dishing the dirt and Romney gave O'Bomber at least 2 warnings. People need to know that when demoscats talk about "investment", they're talking about "spending"; spending taxpayer money on their favorite projects or support groups. O'Bomber brought up energy and specifically green energy. Romney..paraphrasing here...told O'bomber he'd been picking winners and losers and reeled off 5 or 6 companies including Solyndra, Tesla, Fisker and then told O'Bomber he'd been picking "Losers" which went bankrupt. But this was the warning...the investors in these companies were his big campaign contributors. The other warning..and I think it was a warning was over O'Bomber's nonsense that corporations get a tax break for shipping American jobs overseas. I've heard this nonsense coming out of the O'Bomber campaign charging Romney/Bain Capital with doing it...though O'Bomber didn't accuse Romney. Romney looked right at O'Bomber and said.."I've been in business for 20 years and I don't know what you're talking about..tax breaks for shipping American jobs overseas? Maybe I should fire my accountants. Yeah YTA, O'Bomber looked very uncomfortable in that debate setting. Next debate is a town hall setting and I expect O'Bomber to do better there. We'll see. I would pay to watch the Ryan/O'Biden VP debate. IP: Logged |

No, not a Gemini. A Pisces. Still a lot of brain power, but of a different sort. We haven't had a Pisces President in over a hundred years. IP: Logged |

From the Tea Party's FB Page. It says it all *SIGH* The Tea Party For the first time in 4 years, Obama's liberal media lapdogs were not there to protect him and boy did it show. It is amazing to think a President could go 4 years in a horrible economy without ever being asked a tough question by the media especially after 8 years of constant media attacks that President Bush endured. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. hahahaha When even Albore, Chris..tingle up my leg Matthews, Andrew Sullivan, Michael Moore and Jim.."The Mouth" Carville says O'Bomber lost the debate then, O'Bomber lost the debate! There just isn't any way you can spin your way out of it. Let's call it a tailspin from which you can't recover. Yeah, when O'Bomber nosed over and went into that tailspin, the best the ususal suspects can do is talk about the pretty hole he made when he hit the ground. IP: Logged |
