But not today. The drooling leftist press have lost control and the leftist narrative isn't believed by voters who tune out their news broadcasts, won't read their print newspapers, listen to talk radio, watch Fox News and spend time on the Internet deconstructing the leftist BS.

It's about time.

These people will NEVER see that. That is the really disheartening part. I give up

Biden is a Scorpio, after all. They are intense. Wouldn't expect anything less from a Scorp.

Also, just to lighten things up, this picture is funny:

Under all four of them, or any combination thereof, I see the nation in a downward spiral of doom.

Both sides don't have the foggiest idea about fiscal responsibility and getting the nation's finances in order. The tax plans are irresponsible and would never do much to balance anything. It's all pandering to constituencies.

Like I have always said, choice between liberal and socialist.

The fact of the matter is that America needs a Chapter 9 style restructuring bankruptcy akin to filings for municipals. Yes, Big Bird has to go, but so does half of the federal government. There should be one intelligence agency and not five. There should be the Dept of Treasury, and not Commerce, Agriculture and Energy. Education should be run off individual states, and Veteran Affairs should be run by Defense. Most of all, there must be an immediate 25% cut to all payments, including the hallowed SS and Medicare. Everyone must share in the pain to make this country solvent again. Beginning with the politicians. Service to the nation should be an honor. Make those unpaid positions, or minimum wage, especially the White House.

Al "Chainsaw" Dunlap should be in charge of the federal budget.

I know many see the rude, aggressive bad boys as winners but they win nothing except the rude aggressive bad boy award.

Tis a shame.

After listening to the news pundits etc all week, I have come to a conclusion about Biden. I think his arrogance has worked up the mind numbed robots enough that they will get out the vote, a bit more, than when O'Bomber looked like someone who could not put two words together.

For that reason, Biden's performance was not good for those of us who cringe at 4 more years of O'Bomber.

Mr. Malarkey, full of Baloney
Mark LaRochelle
10/12/2012

In his debate with Paul Ryan, Vice President made so many false statements that a fact-checker hardly knows where to begin. In the interest of brevity, here are Biden’s three biggest whoppers:

BIDEN: Asked about the administration’s denial of requests from the U.S. mission to Libya for increased security prior to the September 11 terrorist attack on the consulate in Benghazi — which resulted in the assassination of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans — Biden answered, “we weren’t told they wanted more security … We did not know they wanted more security.”

FACT: The U.S. Embassy in Libya requested “an increase in the number of our permanently assigned RSO [Resident Security Officer] staff,” as well as “five TDY DS [Temporary Duty Diplomatic Security] agents for 45-60 days rotations in Benghazi.”

According to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, “multiple U.S. federal government officials have confirmed to the Committee that, prior to the September 11 attack, the U.S. mission in Libya made repeated requests for increased security in Benghazi. The mission in Libya, however, was denied these resources by officials in Washington.”

Eric Nordstrom, top regional security officer in Libya, testified, “All of us at post were in sync that we wanted these resources.” Lt. Col. Andrew Wood, Utah national guardsman who led a security team: “We felt great frustration that those requests were ignored or just never met.” Charlene R. Lamb, a deputy assistant secretary for diplomatic security, admitted that she denied requests for more security in Benghazi, testifying, “Yes sir, I said personally I would not support it.

The White House spin seems to be that the State Department knew that the Libyan mission requested additional security, but that it didn’t inform the White House. If that’s true, expect Obama to fire Hillary – in hopes that the American people don’t fire him.

BIDEN: “On Iraq, the president said he would end the war. Governor Romney said that was a tragic mistake; we should have left — that he ended it — Governor Romney said that was a tragic mistake; we should have left 30,000 troops there.”

FACT: Actually, Romney was criticizing Obama’s failure in negotiations with Iraq. What Romney (speaking with veterans) said was that “the withdrawal of all of our troops from Iraq by the end of this year is an enormous mistake and a failing by the Obama administration. Secretary Panetta and others had indicated they were working to put in place a Status of Forces Agreement … The precipitous withdrawal is unfortunate. It’s more than unfortunate. I think it’s tragic.”

Romney had earlier said, “The American people deserve to hear the recommendations that were made by our military commanders in Iraq. As the Washington Post reported, “The U.S. military had hoped that as many as 20,000 of its troops would remain to continue to train Iraqi security forces,” but, as McClatchy newspapers Europe Bureau Chief Roy Gutman reported, negotiations “foundered,” even as Obama “and his point man on Iraq, Vice President Joe Biden,” remained “largely aloof” from the process.

Charges Krauthammer observed at the time, “Obama was left with but a single task: Negotiate a new status-of-forces agreement … He blew it.” In consequence, as the New York Times reported, “Sectarian violence and political turmoil in Iraq escalated within days of the United States military’s withdrawal.” Tragic.

BIDEN: Asked under Obama’s plan “who will pay more in taxes?” Biden replied “people making a million dollars or more will begin to contribute slightly more.”

FACT: Obama’s plan is to allow the Bush tax cuts of 2003 to expire at the end of the year for individuals making over $200,000 per year, or households making more than $250,000 per year — not $1 million per year. Biden’s math was off by a factor of five.

Errr... My 11th grader pointed out that Libya is much larger than Syria, by a factor of eight.

Biden mentioned that he didn't want to attack Syria because it is five times larger. That put my brain into overdrive. Libya is mostly Sahara desert. Now can it possibly be smaller?

Perhaps the old folks are senile and need to re-take basic geography.

Like that dude who mistook Austria for Australia.

Here's a map of North Africa and the Middle East. See how big Libya is compared to Syria? Pointed out immediately by my 16 year old.

oops..misread your post at first, YTA. however population wise, syria is about 4 times libya...some people think in terms of population not empty land, i guess...

however in terms of OCCUPIED land, syria may just beat libya again. most of libya's population are in the narrow coastal area. syria is more cultivated - i believe.

Still trying to get over the truth deficit, Jwhop? I'm afraid Biden had it much more correct than Ryan did.

Way to go acoustic. Nothing to back up your nonsense but the usual hot air.

If ever there was a "Dud Duo", it's O'Bomber/O'Biden.

It takes a "Dud Duo" tag team like O'Bomber/O'Biden to appreciate "The Liar in Chief Clinton" and "Wooden Head Algore".

Nothing to back up what I said? Are you serious? I was the first to post three fact-checking articles into this thread regarding my assertation.

The usual hot air is usually from you. I told you not to to be a foe to facts then. Apparently, you weren't paying attention.

Only one problem with your nonsense...as usual acoustic.

You used a tainted, biased source for your so called fact checking.

I used straight, factual sources and proved Joe "Plugs" lied massively during the debate with Paul Ryan...in addition to being a bore, an interrupter, a smug, unlikable smirker and general ass as seen by most journalists and independents.

That in addition to being factually incorrect about the relative sizes of Syria and Libya...as YTA so aptly pointed out.

Nope. Only biased in your estimation. You've never proven a bias, nor disproven anything they've ever said.

Contrast that with yours. Your first article, which is obviously biased, starts out by trying to make Biden's contention that no Democrats endorsed Ryan's plan out as a lie. It not only wasn't a lie, but Biden was correct that no Democrat has ever voted in favor of Ryan's budget, not even the Democrat that helped him craft it. (That's not using "Straight, factual" sources. That's using biased reporting.)
