meanwhile on the fiscal deal, rush is busy trying to work up more class hatred, against the rich who only took a 5% increase (saying they didn't get ANY increase in the same breath he admits their main source of income, capital gains, is now taxed 5% higher) and starting to admit through this argument that obama is NO SOCIALIST at all...

yes plenty of elections are swung and outright stolen, but that is largely because we the people choose not to do anything about it - because "it's no use"

that said, it is more than possible things have to get worse STILL before people get so fed up they actually DO do something. or emigrate, as people did in droves in germany in the thirties.

but before you do anything you have to understand that the corporate manipulation of the govt is what is ruining the "free" market and eroding your rights. obama is far from a socialist - if you look at who he has around them, he has a lot of corporatist minders - but as long as people support the right of corporations to buy states and washington, ie, deregulate everything and get rid of taxes? it will continue.

and i don't blame any president who chooses to continue their life and try to get something done within the restricted elbow room he is allowed. i don't understand why anyone with real experience would WANT the job, but some people think they cand "do better". still, a dead president is useless and his assassination demoralizes people even more.

He stole it.

so why moan about how the dumbclucks voted for him? you continually confuse your bogeymen, ami. and your sour grapes don't make anything better. how do you think those who voted against bush and had their votes thrown out and the COURT choose a winner felt? now THERE was a stolen election. but it was stolen from people you don't care about so that was all right, right?

if they start carting off "occupiers" you will not complain either? only when they come for jews or diss israel or the great white way of life is considered oligarchy do you complain.

nothing's "over". just a new chapter!

it's you who makes no sense. you say it doesn't matter what we think, say or vote, then you blame the "dumb voters" for election results. where is the sense in that?

nothing's over, ami. take heart and take action...the price of liberty is vigilance (not vigilantiism).

i am liking the new treasury secretary appointee, i always thought geithner was a minder from wall street/the fed...and chuck hegel is a defense secretary appt that shows a recognition that war experience and a willingness to NEGOTIATE are important. it's hilarious that the republicans reportedly object to hegel on the grounds that he made some anti-gay remarks 14 years ago, when they have supported the DOMA and other unconstitutional blocking of gays from full citizenship.

looking into both their records, out of kuriosity.

i have been trying to figure out YTA's numbers. he says he has suffered the loss of $3500 to the new SS rates, which are the same as the old rates except that now the upper limit is $117K instead of, i believe, $106K before.

this doesn't add up to me since 2% of $117K = $2340...?? what am i missing ian?

and what is the $2500 to obamacare? please specify?

you did understand that the 2% break was to tide people over and help them keep spending during the worst of the recession, i am sure...
