http://mediamatters.org/research/2010/08/18/ex-terrorist-walid-shoebat-is-too-sketchy-for-d/169441 [I]Even anti-Muslim blogger Debbie Schlussel says Shoebat isn't credible. In a September 16, 2008, post, conservative blogger Debbie Schlussel called Shoebat "Sean Hannity's fake terrorist." Schlussel wrote: "Years ago, when I first heard of Walid Shoebat -- the man who claims to have been a Palestinian Islamic terrorist -- I liked his story. Since then, I praised him in more than one entry on this site. That was a mistake." Schlussel wrote: "I simply didn't find Shoebat credible. And his behavior toward me is that of an unstable, insecure man who is upset that his shaky claims are being doubted." She added: "Mr. Shoebat took it upon himself -- despite my praise of him on this site -- to engage in a pattern of behavior that spanned plagiarism and obscene verbal abuse to the non-stop barrage of harassing messages he sent me over the last two days under a fake name, "Sandra Medina." Media Matters noted that Schlussel asked in 2006 if Obama should be president "when we are fighting the war of our lives against Islam? Where will his loyalties be?" She recently claimed that Rima Fakih won the Miss USA pageant because of a "politically correct, Islamo-pandering climate" in America. And following the shootings at Fort Hood, Schlussel wrote: "And, oh, yeah, think of Major Malik Nadal Hasan (and all of the other Muslim American traitorous soldiers in the U.S. military who've shot their fellow soldiers up and killed them or otherwise helped the enemy), whenever you hear about how Muslims serve their country in the U.S. military. Well, actually, they do serve "their country" in the U.S. military. And their country is Dar Al-Islam and greater Koranistan. It's Islamic terrorism, stupid. Wait, that's repetitive. It's Islam, stupid."

Ladies, I wanted to tell you something. I have a pup,a chocolate Lab. He was born with 8 siblings. He didn`t get much Mommy time or human time with the bigger guys getting most of the attention. We brought him home, very easily trained him but... He craved attention. Positive or negative, he didn`t care as long as we paid him attention. Like he was saying see me see me! He took to stealing. Papers, gloves, slippers, socks or anything we could watch him take to get attention. It started affecting us because negative attention is a poor substitute for affection/attention he craved.. Scoldings nor time out worked, see meee was all he cared about !! So, we decided to ignore his bad behavior. We kept ignoring him and soon we had a pile in the laundry room of his stolen loot. We ignored every item and him. Only positive interaction was given. After a couple days of no negative reinforcement, he just quit stealing. He is now a happier pup and we all interact in a positive happy household. Quote by pire quote: I consider that a job creator needs employes as much as employes need job creators if they want to increase their wealth. therefore there is no reason for a job creator to look at himself as a god given gift to help humanity.. that is a delusion of grandeur masking his avidity

No one ever said job creators didn't need employees. We are saying that the employees should not be paid as much as the job creator. More responsibility should equal a higher wage. IP: Logged |

I just noticed this post. Sorry. Looking now.Our understanding of the physics by which CO2 affects Earth’s energy balance is confirmed by laboratory measurements, as well as by detailed satellite and surface observations of the emission and absorption of infrared energy by the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases absorb some of the infrared energy that Earth emits in so-called bands of stronger absorption that occur at certain wavelengths. Different gases absorb energy at different wavelengths. CO2 has its strongest heat-trapping band centred at a wavelength of 15 micrometres (millionths of a metre), with wings that spread out a few micrometres on either side. There are also many weaker absorption bands. As CO2 concentrations increase, the absorption at the centre of the strong band is already so intense that it plays little role in causing additional warming. However, more energy is absorbed in the weaker bands and in the wings of the strong band, causing the surface and lower atmosphere to warm further. http://royalsociety.org/policy/projects/climate-evidence-causes/question-8/
This is a different way of explaining the work started by Evans in 2006. We also just talked about this: ...A very small amount of CO2 (roughly 1% of the emission rate from fossil fuel combustion) is also emitted in volcanic eruptions. This is balanced by an equivalent amount that is removed by chemical weathering of rocks. ...Measured decreases in the fraction of other forms of carbon (the isotopes 14C and 13C) and a small decrease in atmospheric oxygen concentration (observations of which have been available since 1990) show that the rise in CO2 is largely from combustion of fossil fuels (which have low 13C fractions and no 14C). Deforestation and other land use changes have also released carbon from the biosphere (living world) where it normally resides for decades to centuries. The additional CO2 from fossil fuel burning and deforestation has disturbed the balance of the carbon cycle, because the natural processes that could restore the balance are too slow compared to the rates at which human activities are adding CO2 to the atmosphere. As a result, a substantial fraction of the CO2 emitted from human activities accumulates in the atmosphere, where some of it will remain not just for decades or centuries, but for thousands of years. Comparison with the CO2 levels measured in air extracted from ice cores indicates that the current concentrations are higher than they have been in at least 800,000 years (see Question 6). http://royalsociety.org/policy/projects/climate-evidence-causes/question-3/
I came here to post a quote from a supposed Socialist: "I'm going to keep doing everything in my power to rebuild an economy where everyone who works hard has the chance to get ahead —where we’re restoring our founding vision of opportunity for all." — President Obama.
