We got some good people on this and making it vocal, so I hope it goes someplace such as Impeachment. Of everything, this horrible president did wrong, this is the worst. I pray we get justice on this From my heart to God's ear  ------------------

I hate the word "excuse." It implies deceitful intent. If I were to say to someone that I was late due to abnormal traffic caused by some major wreck, and if someone were to try to call that an excuse for my tardiness I'd set them straight in a hurry. A valid reason is not an excuse. To call it an excuse is to try to invalidate what is valid. It's an attempt to make a liar out of a truthteller. I don't go for it.Something can justifiably be called an excuse when it irrationally tries to justify a scenario. If a person were to hear, for instance, that limited phone calls were made on the night of the Bengazi attack, and then assume that no other means of communication were used throughout the attack, that would be irrational, and it would be right to say that this person was finding an excuse to justify the belief that limited communications occurred. Pointing out that other forms of communication were available, and officially said to have been used, is neither irrational nor an excuse. IP: Logged |
