http://edition.cnn.com/2013/11/24/world/meast/iran-nuclear-deal/

This statement from an Iranian sums up the sentiments of ordinary Iranians:
<<
"Everyone in Iran is very happy," Ali, a factory manager, told CNN. "Iranian people want to cooperate with all countries so we can make a best life. ... Iranian people are not dangerous."
>>

Patience pays, absorbing all the Neocon Hawk's hatred towards them without reacting has repelled a lot of karma. Mr. Rouhani should aim for further cuts in the number of centrifuges and go for full fledged economic relations with USA. India struck a fairly good deal with US Nuclear companies, and Iran can do the same to emphasize that they wanted to enrich Uranium only for their nuclear power projects.

Peace with Iran will also help the US cement peace in Iraq and keep Assad quiet.

Peace with Iran helps US avoid defeat to Putin and ensure an honorable Draw in the Middle Eastern Chess match.

Hearty congratulations to Obama and Kerry.
And to Shimon Peres, the President of Israel who has echoed the Israeli people's sentiments with this statement:
"I would like to say to the Iranian people: You are not our enemies and we are not yours. There is a possibility to solve this issue diplomatically."

Iranians are hopeful, Israelites fearful and the U.S. divided.

It is more progress then ever but many miles and work to go to fulfill the deal. I seriously don`t think all is on the same page including Prez. Hassan Rouhani

quote:
Iran President Hassan Rouhani crowed Sunday that the deal recognizes Tehran's "right" to enrich uranium; Secretary of State John Kerry said it does not. Members of Congress on Sunday — such as Robert Menendez, D-N.J. who had been pushing to strengthen economic sanction against Iran over its program — said they would hold off for now to see how things go.

Ultimately, the final deal will allow enrichment up to 5% and storage of 20% enriched Uranium under the watch of UN.
Iran does not need Nuclear Weapons, any country that wants nukes can buy them from Pakistan.
What I would want in the final deal is the prevention of the 20% enriched Uranium from reaching Pakistan, or extra centrifuges being exported.

hmmm i love how all countries who already have nuclear bombs, are scared from a country that is simply enriching it's uranium could do....also Europe wants in on this, as big money in that if they do finally find a way to partner properly, and lets not forget that one of the last things the Shah did before being removed was buying all those oilfields in the North sea....

given i'm for a world without nuclear energy, before the next Fukishima happens elsewhere...i'd like it if all those P5+ the travelling bandwagons, or whatever the silly name they come up for these things, stop their:

"do as i say, not do as i do" policies already....

also sorry but does mr.netanhyahu and co remember who it was that freed them from captivity some 2000 years ago or more...does the word Cyrus mean anything? (and if someone is going to ask why we should go that far back in history...well the modern state of Israel is an answer)...on the other hand i think Netenyahu is a great scholar of jewish history so i understand his panic, as something is fortold in the scriptures themselves that has him worried. On the other hand funny how no one mentions the missiles Israel has directed on Europe at all times (even i would have missed it if i hadn't read it in more than one source over the last year)

anyway i'm also much more worried about what India and Pakistan could do with their own nuclear bombs towards each other, than Iran, if anything they've shown quite a bit of restraint (the Persians that is) over the past ten years if we ignore just some of the more entertaining tirades to come out of their ex-presidents mouth were.

so yeah, i'm all for no nuclear bombs at all, no one needs them...but who will practice what they preach for starters? i don't trust a single country with nuclear bomb abilities, including my own, and i'm not holding my breath either...but not because of Iran.

Yes it is interesting that Israel is widely accepted to hsve nukes (without "permission by treaty") AND chemical/biological weapons...yet no one challenges them on this. The official Blind Eye is turned.

Of course the fact that Obama has been working at the decreasing of nukes around the world since he came to office is ignored here...except when it is used to imply he wants to give Russia the edge and thus "destroy the US"

I'm with you, NRNR, would like to see nukes gone in all forms, and maybe you don't realize how many of us "old people" have been working on that since the forties? I hope you are right but so far I don't see your "young" people any less divided on this than your predeceding fenerations.

oh don't worry i definitely know, and havne't forgotten who it is that really stopped the world wars!.....the problem sometimes ignorance is bliss, i like that in Italy in France when the Fukishima disaster happens, is when half the people there specially Italy discovered how many nuclear reactors we have there, and some that were totally clueless before, really wanted the nukes to go....problem with these two countries is ppl have strong opinions usually, and in France there is the notion that they're not going to quit their nukes, when everyone around them hasn't done that.

also for some reason it is linked to the 'we are still as glorious as our past' there, and not wanting to give up anything the UK has........ given the 'love' in our past histories together ....

now South America whole different ball game, and boy did the pyscho's that be have all the well off countries under their thumb after what they caused in 2002....

so don't worry i know, but other than praying for real enlightenement to come to ALL countries involved just watch the charade for now, and hope Earth doesn't answer all her ungrateful children with a Tsunami or another (what's it called those Floods like the story from Noah and his arc).

but yeah i see what you are saying, i ask a lot of people my age who work for companies who don't have Earth's best on their mind, why they do it (specially if they are already well off)...and they really don't care....so oh well, just watching for now, and doing what little i can, even if i know it isn't enough, but better then being fully discouraged i guess?

wow this was long pressing submit already lol

While I agree, sadly it won`t be happening in our lifetime.
